The Mitchells
The Mitchell family is a fictional family in the UK soap opera ''EastEnders''. They were first introduced in February 1990, when brothers Phil (Steve McFadden) and Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) bought the local garage, the Arches. Their sister Sam (Danniella Westbrook/Kim Medcalf) was introduced later in 1990, and their mother Peggy (Jo Warne) shortly after in 1991, before being reintroduced as a regular character in 1994, with the role recast to Barbara Windsor. Since then, the family has been significantly expanded to include both the immediate and extended families. Phil has been the longest running Mitchell on the show, and the family has expanded significantly in the years since, remaining a large presence on the square. Michael Ferguson (director)
Michael Ferguson (14 June 1937 – 4 October 2021) was a British television director and producer. His early career included directing four serials of the BBC's science fiction series ''Doctor Who'' (1966–1971). He later directed ITV (TV network), ITV's police drama series ''The Bill'' and was promoted to become its producer (1988–1989), and as executive producer of the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' (1989–1991) he was responsible for the introduction of two of its most popular and long-running characters, Phil Mitchell, Phil and Grant Mitchell (EastEnders), Grant Mitchell. Archie Mitchell
Archie Mitchell is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', played by Larry Lamb. Mark Fowler (2016 Character)
Mark Fowler is a fictional character in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''. Mark, an original regular character when the series started in February 1985, became a semi-regular after his original actor David Scarboro was written out of the role in April 1985. Scarboro made brief returns to the role in 1986 and 1987. Scarboro died in April 1988 and subsequently Mark was recast two years later on his return, with former ''Grange Hill'' regular Todd Carty taking on the role. Lola Pearce (also Pearce-Brown) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', played by Danielle Harold.
