The Jungle Giants
The Jungle Giants are an Australian indie rock band from Brisbane, Queensland, who formed in 2011. The band have released four full-length albums and two EPs. Their fourth studio album, ''Love Signs'', was released on 23 July 2021. Career 2011–2012: Early years and EPs All four members of The Jungle Giants attended Mansfield State High School in Mansfield, Brisbane. Singer-Songwriter-Guitarist, Sam Hales and Cesira Aitken (Lead Guitarist) played in one band and, bassist, Andrew Dooris and Keelan Bijker (Drummer) in another. After completing school in 2009, Hales worked two jobs to fund a debut self-titled EP, which was recorded with local producer, Yanto Browning at Airlock Studios in January 2011. Hales contributed drums, as well as vocals and guitar on the EP, with Aitken on guitar and Dooris on bass, before recruiting Bijker to complete the band. Splendour In The Grass
Splendour in the Grass (commonly referred to as Splendour) is an annual Australian music festival held at the North Byron Parklands in Yelgun, New South Wales. Since its inauguration, the festival has also been held in various locations near Byron Bay, New South Wales, and Woodford, Queensland. History The festival was jointly created and promoted by the Village Sounds Agency and Secret Service music companies, and began in 2001 as a one-day gathering to cater for Australia's winter season (a period that had traditionally been associated with very few events of this nature). "Feel the Way I Do" is a song by Australian indie-pop band The Jungle Giants. It was released in January 2017 as the lead single from the band's third studio album ''Quiet Ferocity''. The single was certified gold in Australia in November 2018 and platinum in December 2019. ''Quiet Ferocity'' is the third studio album by Australian indie rock band the Jungle Giants, released on 7 July 2017 through Amplifire Music. The album peaked at number 11 on the ARIA Charts, becoming the band's highest charting album. Frontman Sam Hales said "For ''Quiet Ferocity'' we found a studio close to home and treated it like a job, clocking on and off everyday, and because I was producing it as well everything was quicker – there was no middle man. There was a certain flow to it, it's like we found our tempo, the particular speed we like to work at." Hales later added "We were so excited to get this record out because we'd been sitting on it for a couple of months." The album was support by a national tour between August and September 2017. ''Speakerzoid'' is the second studio album by Australian indie rock band the Jungle Giants. The album was released on 7 August 2015 and peaked at number 25 on the ARIA Charts. Lead singer Sam Hales explains the title comes from his girlfriend misunderstanding a lyric in a song. He said "Someone was playing the Sonic Youth song Teenage Riot' and my girlfriend thought she was saying 'Speakerzoid' (when she was saying 'spirit desire'). After a while I just really liked the word." Karnivool
Karnivool is an Australian progressive rock band formed in Perth in 1997. The group currently consists of Ian Kenny on vocals, Drew Goddard and Mark Hosking on guitar, Jon Stockman on bass, and Steve Judd on drums. Groovin the Moo is an annual music festival that is held in six Regional Australia, regional centres across Australia. The festival is held during autumn, typically in May of each year. Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1990.
