Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name the Game or simply Game, is an American rapper. Born in Compton, California, he initially released a series of mixtapes under the wing of fellow West Coast rapper JT the Bigga Figga. After releasing his debut album ''Untold Story (album), Untold Story'' independently in 2004, he was discovered by record producer Dr. Dre and signed to his Aftermath Entertainment, Aftermath Records label imprint. The Game rose to fame in 2005 following the release of his major-label debut album ''The Documentary'', which peaked the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 along with its 2006 follow-up, ''Doctor's Advocate''. Compton High School
Compton High School is a high school in Compton, California, United States, part of the Compton Unified School District. History Compton Union High School opened in 1896. Both the high school and Compton Junior High School were severely damaged in the 1933 Long Beach earthquake. The school re-established as Compton Senior High School in the 1950s after El Camino College Compton Center, Compton College separated from the high school district and opened its new campus at 1111 East Artesia Boulevard in 1953. During the 1960s, there was a dramatic transition from a White people, white student body to one which was predominantly African-American. ''Untold Story'' is an independent music, independently released compilation album by American rapper The Game (rapper), the Game. It was released on October 5, 2004 by Get Low Recordz. The album features guest appearances from Sean T (rapper), Sean T and JT the Bigga Figga, among others. A sequel to the album, titled ''Untold Story, Vol. 2'', released the following year. Critical reception ''Untold Story'' was met with mixed reviews from music critics. While his technical abilities and personality were praised, his lyrics, production and similarities to contemporaries such as Daz Dillinger and Lloyd Banks were criticized. Commercial performance ''Untold Story'' debuted at 146 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 chart, with approximately 8,000 copies sold in its first week. James Iovine ( ; born March 11, 1953) is an American entrepreneur, former Music executive, record executive, and media proprietor. He is the co-founder of Interscope Records and became chairman and CEO of Interscope Geffen A&M Records, Interscope Geffen A&M, an umbrella music unit formed by Universal Music Group in 1999. Iovine has been involved in the production of more than 250 albums. In 2006, Iovine and his close friend, hip hop musician Dr. Dre, co-founded Beats Electronics. East Coast hip-hop is a regional subgenre of hip-hop music that originated in New York City during the 1970s. Hip-hop is recognized to have originated and evolved first in the Bronx borough of New York City. In contrast to other styles, East Coast hip-hop music prioritizes complex lyrics for attentive listening rather than beats for dancing. The term "East Coast hip-hop" more specifically denotes hip-hop originating from the Northeastern United States.
