Love and Rockets are an English rock band formed in 1985 by former Bauhaus members Daniel Ash (vocals, guitar and saxophone), David J (bass guitar and vocals) and Kevin Haskins (drums and synthesisers) after that group split in 1983. Ash and Haskins had recorded and performed in another band, Tones on Tail, between 1982 and 1984. Love and Rockets's style is a fusion of underground rock music with elements of pop music. Their 1989 single " So Alive" reached No. 3 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. They released seven studio albums before breaking up in 1999 and reformed briefly in 2007 for a few live shows, before splitting again in 2009. ''Earth, Sun, Moon'' is the third studio album by English alternative rock band Love and Rockets, released in 1987 on Beggars Banquet. The album was remastered, but not expanded (unlike their previous albums), in 2001. Most of the tracks that would have appeared on an expanded edition were included on disc 5 of their 2013 CD box set ''5 Albums''. Background While the album continued in a psychedelic vein, the band also experimented with a folk-based indie rock sound. Vestiges of a gothic rock sound remained, but the band continued to sound less like their previous group, Bauhaus. ''Earth, Sun, Moon'' featured Love and Rockets' first hit, "No New Tale to Tell". ''Express'' is the second studio album by English rock band Love and Rockets. It was released on 15 September 1986 on Beggars Banquet Records. An even greater departure from the band members' previous work as Bauhaus, the album's fusion of underground rock with pop stylings can be seen as an early example of alternative rock music, a genre that reached mainstream popularity in the early 1990s. ''Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven'' is the debut studio album by English rock band Love and Rockets. It was released on 11 October 1985, through record label Beggars Banquet. ''Seventh Dream'' was preceded by the non-album single " Ball of Confusion" on 17 May 1985, and the album's first proper single "If There's a Heaven Above" on 13 September 1985. The album was remastered in October 1999 and reissued in the year 2000 with six bonus tracks (both sides of the non-album single Ball of Confusion, three remixes of If There's a Heaven Above and one remix of Haunted When the Minutes Drag) and new album cover artwork. Gothic Rock
Gothic rock (also called goth rock or simply goth) is a style of rock music that emerged from post-punk in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s. The first post-punk bands which shifted toward dark music with gothic overtones include Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, Bauhaus (band), Bauhaus, and the Cure. The genre itself was defined as a separate movement from post-punk. The Hernandez brothers, also known as Los Bros Hernandez, are the three American cartoonist brothers Mario (b. 1953), Gilbert (b. 1957), and Jaime Hernandez (b. 1959).
