The Belligerents are a five-piece indie band from Brisbane. They came to prominence winning a spot to play at Parklife in Brisbane in September 2012. Parklife Music Festival was an Australian music festival held between 2000-2013 in city parks around Australia in September/October. History Until 2012, Parklife was one of Australia's longest running and most popular music festivals. Starting in 2000, Parklife was known for its diverse, eclectic and ground-breaking line-ups, bringing live acts and dj's to Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. Headline acts played in every city but the number of stages would vary from 3-5, depending on the city. The last Parklife Festival was in 2013, when Promoters Fuzzy announced they were retiring the brand. Stradbroke Island
Stradbroke Island, also known as Minjerribah, was a large sand island that formed much of the eastern side of Moreton Bay near Brisbane, Queensland until the late 19th century. Today the island is split into two islands: North Stradbroke Island and South Stradbroke Island, separated by the Jumpinpin Channel. Big Pineapple Music Festival
The Big Pineapple Music Festival is held annually at the Big Pineapple Landmark, in Woombye, Queensland, Australia. The festival features a range of artists from a variety of genres and first occurred on 21 April 2013 with over 8,000 tickets purchased. The festival was initially developed by the new Big Pineapple landmark owners, in an attempt to pull the business out of bankruptcy. From 2016-2019, the festival has repeatedly sold out, with the 2019 Big Pineapple Music Festival reporting a record attendance of 16,000 people.
