PT Telekomunikasi Selular, trading as Telkomsel, is an Indonesian telecommunications company founded in 1995. Its ownership is divided between Telkom Indonesia (69.9%) and Singtel (30.1%), which serves as Telkom's consumer services arm starting 1 July 2023 by its management takeover of IndiHome. It is headquartered alongside Telkom in the Telkom Landmark Complex. Telkomsel is the largest cellular telecommunication carrier in the country with 169.5 million customer base as of 2020. The company operates their GSM network on the 900–1800 MHz frequency range, as well as 3G, 4G, and 5G services on other frequencies. Telkomsel operates a variety of mobile services, chief among them are SIMPATI (previously Telkomsel PraBayar) and Telkomsel Halo (formerly kartuHalo). IndiHome (abbreviated from Indonesia Digital Home) is a home telephone, internet, and Internet Protocol television services owned by Telkomsel since July 1, 2023. Prior to Telkomsel's takeover, it was owned by Telkomsel's majority shareholder Telkom Indonesia. IndiHome was launched in 2015 to replace Speedy. Its packages also come with digital music portal services and home automation. IndiHome services can only be applied to homes in which there are fiber-optic networks available from Telkom (FTTH) and areas that still use copper cables. Telkom Landmark Complex or The Telkom Hub is an office complex of three high-rise building in Jakarta, Indonesia. The oldest of the building is known as Graha Merah Putih. The other two buildings are named as Telkom Landmark Tower and Telkomsel Smart Office. In telecommunications, long-term evolution (LTE) is a standard for wireless broadband communication for cellular mobile devices and data terminals. Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE), also known as 2.75G and under various other names, is a 2G digital mobile phone technology for packet switching, packet switched data transmission.
