Subgraph (operating System)
Subgraph OS was a Debian-based project designed to be resistant to surveillance and interference by sophisticated adversaries over the Internet. It has been mentioned by Edward Snowden as showing future potential. Subgraph OS was designed to be locked down, with a reduced attack surface, to increase the difficulty to carry out certain classes of attack against it. This was accomplished through system hardening and a proactive, ongoing focus on security and attack resistance. Subgraph OS also placed emphasis on ensuring the integrity of installed software packages through deterministic compilation. The last update of the project's blog was in September 2017, and all of its GitHub repositories haven't seen activity since 2020. Features Some of Subgraph OS's notable features included: * Linux kernel hardened with the grsecurity and PaX patchset. * Linux namespaces and xpra for application containment. * Mandatory file system encryption during installation using LUKS. * Configu ...

Hypograph (mathematics)
In mathematics, the hypograph or subgraph of a function f:\R^\rightarrow \R is the set of points lying on or below its graph. A related definition is that of such a function's epigraph, which is the set of points on or above the function's graph. The domain (rather than the codomain) of the function is not particularly important for this definition; it can be an arbitrary set instead of \mathbb^n. Definition The definition of the hypograph was inspired by that of the graph of a function, where the of f : X \to Y is defined to be the set :\operatorname f := \left\. The or of a function f : X \to \infty, \infty/math> valued in the extended real numbers \infty, \infty= \mathbb \cup \ is the set : \begin \operatorname f &= \left\ \\ &= \left f^(\infty) \times \mathbb \right\cup \bigcup_ (\ \times (-\infty, f(x)]). \end Similarly, the set of points on or above the function is its epigraph. The is the hypograph with the graph removed: : \begin \operatorname_S f ...

Graph Theory
In mathematics and computer science, graph theory is the study of ''graph (discrete mathematics), graphs'', which are mathematical structures used to model pairwise relations between objects. A graph in this context is made up of ''Vertex (graph theory), vertices'' (also called ''nodes'' or ''points'') which are connected by ''Glossary of graph theory terms#edge, edges'' (also called ''arcs'', ''links'' or ''lines''). A distinction is made between undirected graphs, where edges link two vertices symmetrically, and directed graphs, where edges link two vertices asymmetrically. Graphs are one of the principal objects of study in discrete mathematics. Definitions Definitions in graph theory vary. The following are some of the more basic ways of defining graphs and related mathematical structures. Graph In one restricted but very common sense of the term, a graph is an ordered pair G=(V,E) comprising: * V, a Set (mathematics), set of vertices (also called nodes or points); * ...
