''Sketch Artist'', also known as ''The Sketch Artist'', is a 1992 American Television film, made-for-television Crime film, crime-thriller film written by Michael Angeli and directed by Phedon Papamichael and starring Jeff Fahey, Sean Young and Drew Barrymore. It was released theatrically in Canada, Sweden and South Korea. Plot During a homicide investigation, a police sketch artist realizes a witness is describing a suspect resembling the artist, Jack Whitfield's wife down to the last detail. Conflicted by this revelation, he withholds pertinent information and begins his own search for the truth. Phedon Papamichael, American Society of Cinematographers, ASC (, ''Faidon Papamihail''; born February 1962) is a Greek cinematographer and film director, known for his collaborations with directors James Mangold and Alexander Payne. He has been a member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 2000. Early life and education Papamichael was born in Athens, Greece in 1962 to a Greek father and a German mother. When he was six years old, his family relocated to the United States, as his father, a well-known artist and set designer, was offered a job as a production designer for John Cassavetes.
