Sequel Wedding
A sequel wedding is an additional marriage ceremony or reception occurring some time after a couple has already been legally married. Customs Couples may choose to hold sequel weddings after they have already eloped or held small-scale ceremonies. These initial ceremonies are often referred to as "micro-weddings" or "minimonies", which are generally defined as having guest lists of fewer than fifty and ten people, respectively. In contrast, the more elaborate "sequel weddings" may have several hundred guests. Sequel weddings often occur weeks, months, or even years after the legal ceremony. Commonly, the motivation for sequel weddings is to be able to hold a celebration for guests who were unable to attend the first wedding while reserving legal nuptials for family and close friends. History Having two weddings has been a common trend among celebrity couples, including Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas in 2019; Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz in 2019; and George Clooney and Amal Alamu ...

Wedding Reception
A wedding reception is a party usually held after the completion of a marriage ceremony as hospitality for those who have attended the wedding, hence the name reception: the couple ''receive'' society, in the form of family and friends, for the first time as a married couple. Hosts provide their choice of food and drink, although a wedding cake is popular. Entertaining guests after a wedding ceremony is traditional in most societies, and can last anywhere from half an hour to many hours or even days. Most wedding receptions are made in the evening for dinner; however, the couple may opt for a luncheon, brunch, or even afternoon tea. Ultimately the married couple chooses the details and location of the reception. In some cultures, separate wedding celebrations are held for the bride's and groom's families. Before receptions – a social event that is structured around a receiving line, and usually held in the afternoon, with only light refreshments – became popular, wedding ...

Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony
A wedding vow renewal ceremony or wedding vow reaffirmation ceremony is a ceremony in which a married couple renew or reaffirm their marriage vows. Most ceremonies take place in churches and are seen as a way for a married couple to renew their commitment to each other and demonstrate that the vows they took are still considered sacred; most Christian denominations, such as the Lutheran Churches, Catholic Church, Methodist Churches and Anglican Churches, offer services for a reaffirmation of marriage. Popularity The ceremonies have been popular in Italy for decades, and have existed in United States since the 1950s, but only became popular there after the 1970s. To some couples the ceremony offers the chance to celebrate the wedding they never had. Renewal ceremonies often take on the characteristics of the Western " lavish wedding", with couples often setting out guest books, buying new weddings bands, and hiring photographers.Otnes, C. and Pleck, E.
