Ratiopharm Ulm, officially stylized as ratiopharm ulm, is a professional basketball club based in Ulm, Germany. The club has two teams, one professional team, which plays in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), the major German professional league and one youth team, which plays in the NBBL (Nachwuchs Basketball-Bundesliga). The home arena of the team is the Arena Ulm/Neu-Ulm, Ratiopharm Arena, an indoor arena, indoor sporting arena with a capacity of approximately 6,000 spectators. The mascot of the team is a rabbit named ''Spass'' ("fun"), who somewhat resembles Bugs Bunny. The main sponsor of the team is the pharmaceutical company Ratiopharm. The team colors are orange, white, and black. Ulm has played in the BBL for straight seasons since promoting in 2006, and won the national championship in 2023. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the German basketball league system, highest level Sports league, league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are Relegation, relegated to a lower-tier league. Clement Tyron McCoy (born November 20, 1972) is an American professional basketball coach, and former professional basketball player. At a height of , he played at the shooting guard position. Playing career High school McCoy attended and played high school basketball at Bethune High School, in Bethune, South Carolina. Thorsten Leibenath (born 7 April 1975) is a German former basketball coach and basketball player. He is the Sports Director of ratiopharm Ulm in the German Basketball Bundesliga. Leibenath coached the Ulm basketball team for eight years, spanning from 2011 until 2019. Coaching career Leibenath began his coaching career at TV Lich, a second-division team in Germany. With TV Lich, Leibenath won the championship, promoting the club to the first division. The 2013 BBL-Pokal – officially named 2013 Beko BBL-Pokal because of sponsorship reasons – was the 46th season of the German Basketball Cup. It was the 4th season as the League Cup for the BBL.
