The President of the Court of Appeal of Malaysia (Malay: ''Presiden Mahkamah Rayuan''), is the office and title of the deputy head of the Malaysian judiciary system. The title has been in use since 24 June 1994, when the Court of Appeal of Malaysia was formed. The President of the Court of Appeal is the head of the Court of Appeal, the second highest court of Malaysia. It is the second highest position in Malaysian judicial system after the Chief Justice of Malaysia and followed by the Chief Judge of Malaya, and the Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak. Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim
Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abang Iskandar bin Abang Hashim ( Jawi: أبانغ إسكندر بن أبانغ هاشم; born 3 July 1959) is a Malaysian jurist and lawyer who serves as the twelfth President of the Court of Appeal. He previously served as the Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak (CJSS). Early life and education Abang Hashim was born on 3 July 1959 in Sibu, Crown Colony of Sarawak (present-day Sarawak, Malaysia). Rohana binti Yusuf ( Jawi: روحانا بنت يوسف; born 9 May 1956) is the eleventh President of the Court of Appeal of Malaysia (PCA). She is the first woman to have been appointed into the office since its inception in 1994. Early life and education Rohana was born in Bachok District, Kelantan on 9 May 1956. Rohana graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in 1980. She later obtained a Diploma in Syariah Law and Legal Practice (DSLP) and Master of Comparative Laws (MCL) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 1992 and 1993 respectively. Mohamed Raus bin Sharif (; born 4 February 1951) is a retired Malaysian lawyer who served as the eighth Chief Justice of Malaysia from 1 April 2017 until 31 July 2018. He replaced Arifin Zakaria. Ahmad Fairuz bin Sheikh Abdul Halim (born 1 November 1941) is a retired Malaysian lawyer who served as the fourth Chief Justice of Malaysia. A controversial figure, he held that position from 2003 to 2006. In August 2006, he courted controversy by suggesting the abolishment of English Common Law to be replaced by Islamic Syariah Law.
