Polycule
In polyamory, a polycule is a group of individuals involved in Romantic love, romantic, Sexual love, sexual, and Platonic love, platonic relationships that connect all the members in the group, analogous to the way that Chemical bond, atomic bonds connect the atoms in a molecule. The word is a Blend word, portmanteau of ''polyamory'' and ''molecule''. The origin of the term is not clear, but it seems have entered the popular lexicon starting in the early 2010s. By the 2020s, discussions of polycules had entered the mainstream media. Terms While polycules can take on many different configurations, there are a few common structures and terms. * V structure describes a three-person polycule where one person is dating the two others, but the two others are not dating one another. * N structure describes a four-person polycule where each couple contributes one person to a third relationship. Polyamory
Polyamory () is the practice of, or desire for, romantic relationships with more than one partner at the same time, with the informed consent of all partners involved. People who identify as polyamorous may believe in open relationships with a conscious management of jealousy and reject the view that sexual and relational exclusivity are prerequisite for deep, committed, long-term, loving relationships. Others prefer to restrict their sexual activity to only members of the group, a closed polyamorous relationship that is usually referred to as polyfidelity. Metamour, sometimes spelled metamor, is a general term used to refer to an individual who is the lover of one’s lover, or partner of one’s partner, whom one is not directly romantically involved with. Examples could include the girlfriend of one’s husband, or the boyfriend of one’s boyfriend. It is a term that is commonly used within polyamorous communities. Riverdale (American TV Series)
''Riverdale'' is an American television series based on the characters of Archie Comics. The series was adapted for the CW by Archie Comics' chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and is produced by Warner Bros. Chemical Bond
A chemical bond is a lasting attraction between atoms or ions that enables the formation of molecules and crystals. Molecule
A molecule is a group of two or more atoms held together by attractive forces known as chemical bonds; depending on context, the term may or may not include ions which satisfy this criterion. Blend Word
In linguistics, a blend (sometimes called blend word, lexical blend, portmanteau or portmanteau word) is a word formed from parts of two or more other words. At least one of these parts is not a morph (the realization of a morpheme) but instead a mere ''splinter'', a fragment that is normally meaningless. Platonic Love
Platonic love (often lowercased as platonic love) is a type of love in which sexual desire or romantic features are nonexistent or has been suppressed or sublimated, but it means more than simple friendship. The term is derived from the name of Greek philosopher Plato, though the philosopher never used the term himself. Platonic love, as devised by Plato, concerns rising through levels of closeness to wisdom and true beauty, from carnal attraction to individual bodies to attraction to souls, and eventually, union with the truth.
