Ian Ollis (born 1970) is a South African politician who served in the National Assembly of South Africa. He is a member of the Democratic Alliance, and previously held the positions of Shadow Minister of Transport and Shadow Minister of Labour in parliament. Early life and education Ollis was born in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa in 1970 and matriculated at the Cambridge High School. He completed his education through the Baptist Theological College, University of Zululand and his Master of Arts degree at Wits University in Johannesburg. Having completed four years in seminary, Ollis was ordained and served in the Christian ministry in Johannesburg for six years before becoming an estate agent. He has worked as a sessional lecturer at the Wits College of Education, and has trained staff of real estate companies, political formations and religious institutions. Bernard Ollis (born 1951 in Bath, England) is an Australian artist and painter who lives and works in Sydney and Paris. Ollis is the former director of the National Art School, Sydney. Born in Bath, England, Ollis is a graduate of Cardiff School of Art & Design, Wales and received his Master of Art (Painting) from the Royal College of Art. Ollis arrived in Australia in 1976 and lectured at the University of the Northern Territory, where he became head of his department, and La Trobe University, Victoria where he became Head of Fine Art. In 1996, Ollis was appointed Head of Painting at the National Art School, Sydney. He became Director there in late 1997, a position he held for 10 years. John Ollis (March 23, 1839 – November 16, 1913) was an American farmer, lawyer, and politician. Born in Bergen, Norway, Ollis emigrated with his parents to the United States in 1849 and settled in the town of Vienna, Dane County, Wisconsin. Ollis went the public schools and to University of Wisconsin and Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.. Ollis was a farmer. He served on the Vienna Town Board and was chairman of the town board. He also served as the Vienna Town Assessor. In 1878, Ollis served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and was a Republican. Richard Ollis
Richard Leslie Ollis (born 14 January 1961) played first-class and List A cricket for Somerset between 1981 and 1985. He was born at Clifton, Bristol. The son of a haulage contractor from Keynsham, Ollis was an upright left-handed batsman used either as an opener or in the middle order. He also bowled occasional right-arm medium pace and once or twice kept wicket. Ollis played for Somerset's second eleven in the Second Eleven Championship and the Minor Counties from 1978, and made his first-class debut in two matches at the end of the 1981 season. He played only once in 1982, but in 1983, he was brought into the team when Somerset's Test players, Ian Botham, Vic Marks, Viv Richards and Joel Garner disappeared on World Cup duty and stayed there for much of the season. William Ollis
William Ollis (12 August 1871 – May 1940) was an English professional footballer who played as a right half. Born in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, Ollis played 121 games in the Football Alliance and the Football League for Small Heath. He was part of the team which won the inaugural Second Division championship in 1892–93 and gained promotion to the First Division via the Test Match system the following season.
