Files-11 is the file system used in the RSX-11 and OpenVMS operating systems from Digital Equipment Corporation. It supports record-oriented I/O, remote network access, and file versioning. The original ODS-1 layer is a flat file system; the ODS-2 version is a hierarchical file system, with support for access control lists,. Files-11 is similar to, but significantly more advanced than, the file systems used in previous Digital Equipment Corporation operating systems such as TOPS-20 and RSTS/E. The Old Dock, originally known as Thomas Steers' dock, was the world's first commercial wet dock. The dock was built on the River Mersey in Liverpool, England, starting in 1710 and completed in 1716. A natural tidal pool off the River Mersey, which probably gave its name to Liverpool centuries earlier, was partially filled and locked in from the river with quay walls erected. One Day School
The Gifted Education Centre is a gifted education organisation in New Zealand. At the start of 2008 it changed its name from the George Parkyn Centre. The George Parkyn Centre was formed in 1995 to help gifted children. One Day School The One Day School was founded in 1996 by Rosemary Cathcart. The first branch that was created was in Central Auckland. There are branches countrywide including Nelson, Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. One day each week students do not attend regular school but instead attend One Day School. To attend One Day School a cognitive abilities test needs to be taken and people are accepted if they are found to be in the top 5% relative to the participant's age. One Day School operates throughout New Zealand in school classrooms not being used for normal lessons. There is a cost, currently NZ$60 per week.
