Reversed-phase Chromatography
Reversed-phase liquid chromatography (RP-LC) is a mode of liquid chromatography in which non-polar Stationary phase (chemistry), stationary phase and polar mobile phases are used for the separation of organic compounds. The vast majority of separations and analyses using High-performance liquid chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) in recent years are done using the reversed phase mode. In the reversed phase mode, the sample components are retained in the system the more Hydrophobe, hydrophobic they are. The factors affecting the retention and separation of solutes in the reversed phase chromatographic system are as follows: a. ''The chemical nature of the stationary phase'', i.e., the ligands bonded on its surface, as well as their bonding density, namely the extent of their coverage. b. ''The composition of the mobile phase''. Type of the bulk solvents whose mixtures affect the polarity of the mobile phase, hence the name modifier for a solvent added to ...

OpenDocument
The Open Document Format for Office Applications (ODF), also known as OpenDocument, standardized as ISO 26300, is an open file format for word processor, word processing documents, spreadsheets, Presentation program, presentations and graphics and using Zip (file format), ZIP-compressed XML files. It was developed with the aim of providing an open, XML-based file format specification for office applications. The standard is developed and maintained by a technical committee in the OASIS (organization), Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) consortium. It was based on the Sun Microsystems specification for OpenOffice.org XML, the default format for OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice. It was originally developed for StarOffice "to provide an open standard for office documents." In addition to being an OASIS standard, it is published as an International Organization for Standardization, ISO/International Electrotechnical Commission, IEC i ...

Files-11
Files-11 is the file system used in the RSX-11 and OpenVMS operating systems from Digital Equipment Corporation. It supports record-oriented I/O, remote network access, and file versioning. The original ODS-1 layer is a flat file system; the ODS-2 version is a hierarchical file system, with support for access control lists,. Files-11 is similar to, but significantly more advanced than, the file systems used in previous Digital Equipment Corporation operating systems such as TOPS-20 and RSTS/E. History The native OpenVMS file system is descended from older DEC operating systems and is similar in many ways, both having been designed by Dave Cutler. A major difference is the layout of directories. These file systems all provided some form of rudimentary non-hierarchical directory structure, typically based on assigning one directory per user account. Under RSTS/E, each user account was represented by two numbers, a 'project'',''programmer''/code> pair, and had one associ ...

OpenDNSSEC
OpenDNSSEC is a computer program that manages the security of domain names on the Internet. The project intends to drive adoption of Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) to further enhance Internet security. OpenDNSSEC was created as an open-source turn-key solution for DNSSEC. It secures DNS zone data just before it is published in an authoritative name server. OpenDNSSEC takes in unsigned zones, adds digital signatures and other records for DNSSEC and passes it on to the authoritative name servers for that zone. All keys are stored in a hardware security module and accessed via PKCS #11, a standard software interface for communicating with devices which hold cryptographic information and perform cryptographic functions. OpenDNSSEC can be paired with SoftHSM which provides a Software emulation of a hardware security module. OpenDNSSEC runs two dedicated daemons these are ods-enforcerd which acts as a enforcer Engine Daemon with the role of enforcing the KASP (Ke ...

Optical Data Storage
Optical storage refers to a class of data storage systems that use light to read or write data to an underlying optical media. Although a number of optical formats have been used over time, the most common examples are optical disks like the compact disc (CD) and digital versatile disc (DVD). Reading and writing methods have also varied over time, but most modern systems use lasers as the light source and use it both for reading and writing to the discs. '' Britannica'' notes that it "uses low-power laser beams to record and retrieve digital (binary) data." Overview Optical storage is the storage of data on an optically readable medium. Data is recorded by making marks in a pattern that can be read back with the aid of light, usually a beam of laser light precisely focused on a spinning optical disc. An older example of optical storage that does not require the use of computers, is microform. There are other means of optically storing data and new methods are in development ...

''Ordbog over det danske Sprog'' () or ''ODS'' is a comprehensive dictionary of the Danish language, describing its usage from c. 1700 to 1955 in great detail. The ODS was published in 28 volumes between 1919 and 1956 by the Society for Danish Language and Literature (''Det Danske Sprog- og Litteraturselskab''). Five supplementary volumes were published between 1992 and 2005. The project was begun by Danish linguist Verner Dahlerup. Since 1915, the project was led by linguist Lis Jacobsen. A digitized version of the ''ODS'' has been maintained by the Society for Danish Language and Literature since November 2005. This organization also maintains a sister dictionary '' Den Danske Ordbog'' covering Danish language use since 1950. In addition, the society maintains ''Holbergordbogen'', named for the 18th-century playwright Ludvig Holberg, covering language use between 1700 and 1750 and a digital version of ''Moths Ordbog'' a Danish-Latin dictionary from around 1700. Odds
In probability theory, odds provide a measure of the probability of a particular outcome. Odds are commonly used in gambling and statistics. For example for an event that is 40% probable, one could say that the odds are or When gambling, odds are often given as the ratio of the possible net profit ''to'' the possible net loss. However in many situations, you pay the possible loss ("stake" or "wager") up front and, if you win, you are paid the net win plus you also get your stake returned. So wagering 2 at , pays out , which is called When Moneyline odds are quoted as a positive number , it means that a wager pays When Moneyline odds are quoted as a negative number , it means that a wager pays Odds have a simple relationship with probability. When probability is expressed as a number between 0 and 1, the relationships between probability and odds are as follows. Note that if probability is to be expressed as a percentage these probability values should be multiplied ...

Overdose
A drug overdose (overdose or OD) is the ingestion or application of a drug or other substance in quantities much greater than are recommended. Retrieved on September 20, 2014."Stairway to Recovery: Glossary of Terms"
. Retrieved on March 19, 2021
Typically the term is applied for cases when a risk to health is a potential result. An overdose may result in a toxicity, toxic state or death.

Classification

The word "overdose" implies that there is a common safe dosage and usage for the drug; therefore, the term is commonly applied only to drugs, not poisons, even though many poisons as well are harmless at a low enough dosage. Drug overdose is sometimes used as a means to commit suicide, as the result of intentional or unintentional misuse of medi ...
