Murder Of Suk Malasri
On 17 June 1995, 23-year-old Thai forklift operator Suk Malasri (1972 – 17 June 1995) was found bludgeoned to death inside his living quarters at a construction site in Sungei Kadut, Singapore. The police managed to identify and arrest a suspect three days after the murder, and the killer, a welder named Thongbai Naklangdon (1967 – 30 August 1996), confessed to murdering Suk after the victim threatened to seek revenge over a previous physical assault he suffered from four of his colleagues. Although Thongbai later recanted his confession and also claimed that he killed Suk in self-defence during an alleged fight between the both of them, Thongbai was found guilty of murdering Suk and sentenced to death by the High Court, which rejected his defence. Thongbai's appeal was dismissed, and he was hanged on 30 August 1996. Sungei Kadut ( or , ) is an industrial estate and planning area located in the North Region of Singapore. It is bounded by Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang to the south, Mandai to the east, as well as Lim Chu Kang and the Western Water Catchment to the west. Changi Prison Complex, often known simply as Changi Prison, is a prison complex in the namesake district of Changi in the eastern part of Singapore. It is the oldest and largest prison in the country, covering an area of about . Opened in 1936, the prison has a rich history. Changi Prison was first built in 1936 by the British colonial government to replace Outram Prison that was located in Pearl's Hill. Nurasyura binte Mohamed Fauzi was a two-year-old Malay girl from Singapore who was raped and murdered. Nurasyura, better known as Nonoi, had gone missing on 1 March 2006, and a highly publicized search ensued; three days later her stepfather, Mohammed Ali bin Johari, confessed to what he claimed was an accidental death, and he led police to her body. An autopsy revealed that the girl was drowned to death and was sexually assaulted before her death. On 31 August 2007, after an 8-day hearing, the High Court found Mohammed Ali, who repeatedly denied raping Nonoi, guilty of murder and sentenced him to death. Ramapiram Kannickaisparry ( – 17 April 1995), also known as Ramipiram Kannickaisparry, was an Indian-born Singaporean woman who was found dead in a forested area of Sembawang on 17 April 1995. Ramapiram was last seen alive six hours before her corpse was discovered, with thirteen stab wounds on her head and neck, and her body showed signs of being run over by a vehicle. The police classified the case of her death as murder, and three days later, a 40-year-old man named Nadasan Chandra Secharan, who was the younger brother of Ramapiram's brother-in-law, was arrested and charged with her murder. Mohamed Aliff Mohamed Yusoff
On 8 November 2019, a nine-month-old baby boy named Izz Fayyaz Zayani Ahmad was murdered by 27-year-old Mohamed Aliff Mohamed Yusoff, the boyfriend of Izz's mother, who had Izz from her former marriage. Aliff was said to have inflicted traumatic head injuries on the boy by slamming his head against the floorboard of his newly bought van, and these injuries caused bleeding to the brain, which resulted in Izz's death, according to the autopsy report. Aliff tried to cover up his crime but he was arrested and charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt, though the charge sheet was amended with the prosecution upgrading the hurt-related charge to capital murder. Rozman Jusoh
Rozman bin Jusoh (1 January 1971 – 12 April 1996) was a Malaysian convicted drug trafficker. He and his childhood friend Razali bin Mat Zin were both arrested in Singapore for two separate charges of trafficking 1.04 kg of marijuana (or cannabis) and 943.3g of the same substance, as a result of an undercover operation facilitated by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB). It was decreed by Singapore law that trafficking 500g of marijuana or more was punishable by death. 1992–93 Singapore Construction Site Murders
Between November 1992 and September 1993, at two locations within Singapore, a group of Thai people, Thai migrant workers committed armed robberies at two construction sites located in Lim Chu Kang and Tampines respectively, which resulted in the deaths of three foreign construction workers, one Burmese people, Myanmar citizen in November 1992 and two Indian people, Indian citizens in September 1993. Five of these assailants were eventually identified and arrested, and brought to trial for the robbery-murders. John Martin Scripps (9 December 1959 – 19 April 1996), also known as the Garden City Butcher, and "Tourist From Hell" was an English people, English serial killer who murdered three tourists—Gerard Lowe in Singapore, and Sheila and Darin Damude in Thailand—with another three potential (yet unconfirmed) victims. He posed as a tourist himself when committing the murders. He cut up all his victims' bodies, using butchery skills he had acquired in prison, before disposing of them. On 30 November 1994, Senior Staff Sergeant (SSSgt) Boo Tiang Huat (巫镇发 Wū Zhènfā) of the Singapore Police Force and his partner were on their routine spot checks when they encountered a man behaving suspiciously, and approached him to check his identity. However, the 27-year-old ex-convict Zainal Abidin Abdul Malik retrieved an axe from his black bag and used it to strike Boo on the head, which killed the 47-year-old policeman instantly. On 8 August 1995, a 26-year-old prostitute named Ching Bee Ing () was stabbed seven times by her 35-year-old co-worker Teo Kim Hong () at a brothel along Teck Lim Road. Ching, a Malaysian, died as a result of four fatal knife wounds to her liver and heart. Teo, a Singaporean, was charged with murder after she was arrested for the brutal stabbing.
