Moving Skyscraper
A moving skyscraper is a tall building in which individual floors can rotate on its axis. The world's first such building, the Suite Vollard, is located in Curitiba, Brazil. Another similar project is the Dynamic Tower in Dubai. The Dynamic Tower The tower which will be built in Dubai is designed by Italian architect David Fisher. It will have a total number of 80 floors. All the floors are prefabricated and can spin 360 degrees around a central column by means of power generated by the wind turbine located between each floor. Suite Vollard
The Suite Vollard is a futuristic residential building in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. It is the world's first spinning building. ''The Economist'' Opened in 2001, the Suite Vollard was constructed by Moro Construções Civis LTDA, and Fritz Georg Gehbauer. The architect was Bruno de Franco. It was built in the Ecoville District in Curitiba, and has since become a famous, well-known building in the city. Vollard Suite
The ''Vollard Suite'' is a set of 100 etchings in the neoclassical style by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, produced from 1930-1937. Named after the art dealer who commissioned them, Ambroise Vollard (1866-1939), the suite is in a number of museums, and individual etchings from the suite are collectible. More than 300 sets were created, but many were broken up and the prints sold separately. An earlier ''Vollard Suite'' was commissioned from Paul Gauguin in 1898–99, a smaller group in woodcut and monotype, which Vollard did not like. Dynamic Tower
The Dynamic Tower (also known as Dynamic Architecture Building or the Da Vinci Tower) is a cancelled , 80-floor moving skyscraper, designed by architect David Fisher. Similar to the Suite Vollard completed in 2001 in Brazil, each floor is designed to rotation, rotate independently, resulting in a changing shape of the tower. Each floor is designed to rotate a maximum of per minute, or one full rotation in 180 minutes. It was proposed as the world's first prefabrication, prefabricated skyscraper with 40 factory-built modules for each floor. Fisher said that 90% of the tower could be built in a factory and shipped to the construction site. This would allow the entire building to be built more quickly. Skyscrapers By Type
A skyscraper is a tall continuously habitable building having multiple floors.
