''Kotthu'' () is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language Political thriller, political thriller film directed by Sibi Malayil and written by Hemanth Kumar. It was produced by Ranjith (director), Ranjith and P. M. Sasidharan. The film stars Asif Ali (actor), Asif Ali, Nikhila Vimal, Roshan Mathew, Ranjith (director), Ranjith and Sreelakshmi in important roles. Jakes Bejoy composed the film score, original score, while Kailas Menon composed the original songs. It also marks the comeback of Sibi Malayil after 7 years. The film received mixed reviews and became a box office average hit. Plot Inspired from many real life incidents, the film tells the life of political party workers from Malabar District, Northern Kerala and their bloodshed to reinvigorate the rebellious nature of the parties and the untouchable party worker status at the cost of lives. Sibi ( Sindhi: سيوي ur, ) is a city situated in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. The city is the headquarters of the district and tehsil of the same name. Raghunath Paleri (born 7 February 1954) is an Indian novelist, screenwriter, director and actor from Kerala. Career He has directed three films'' Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare'' (1986), '' Vismayam'' (1998), and ''Kanneerinu Madhuram'' (unreleased); and in television, eight episodes of '' Bible Ki Kahaniya'' (1993–1995).
