Kilogram-force
The kilogram-force (kgf or kgF), or kilopond (kp, from ), is a non-standard Gravitational metric system, gravitational metric unit of force. It is not accepted for use with the International System of Units (SI) and is deprecated for most uses. The kilogram-force is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted on one kilogram of mass in a gravitational field (standard gravity, a conventional value approximating the average magnitude of gravity on Earth). That is, it is the weight of a kilogram under standard gravity. One kilogram-force is defined as .NIST]''Guide for the Use of the International System of Units (SI)''Special Publication 811, (1995) page 51 Similarly, a gram-force is , and a milligram-force is . History The gram-force and kilogram-force were never well-defined units until the CGPM adopted a ''standard acceleration of gravity'' of 9.80665 m/s2 for this purpose in 1901, though they had been used in low-precision measurements of force before that time. It is headquartered in Robertsonpet, where employees of Bharat Gold Mines Limited (BGML) and BEML Limited (formerly Bharat Earth Movers Limited) and their families live. K.G.F. is about from Kolar, from Bengaluru, capital of Karnataka, India. Over a century, the town has been known for gold mining. The mine closed on 28 February 2001 due to a fall in gold prices, despite gold still being present there. One of India's first power-generation units was built in 1889 to support mining operations. The mine complex hosted some particle physics experiments between the 1960s and 1992. History The history of the Kolar Gold Fields was compiled by Fred Goodwill, superintendent of the Police, Maldives and Kolar Gold Fields. Sary-Arka Airport
Sary-Arka Airport () is an international airport which serves the city of Karaganda and its satellite town in Kazakhstan. It is located southeast of the city. History The initial airport was built in 1934, on a site at the edge of the city centre, and moved further out to its current location in 1944. The old terminal building on Shturman Street still stands, now occupied as a bus terminal and a market for car parts. In 1980 it underwent major reconstructions, including the construction of a new terminal building and the modernization of the runway. This made the landing of heavier aircraft possible, which allowed a gateway to many new destinations in the Soviet Union. In 1992, the airport was granted international status. It has become an independent joint stock company after the separation from JSC "Karagandaavia" in 1997. It is not related to Saryarka – Steppe and Lakes of Northern Kazakhstan on the World Heritage List. Sary-Akra Airport is home to the 610th Air Base ... Keratinocyte Growth Factor
The keratinocyte growth factor (KGF), also known as FGF7, is a growth factor present in the epithelialization-phase of wound healing. In this phase, keratinocytes are covering the wound, forming the epithelium. KGF is a small signaling molecule that binds to fibroblast growth factor receptor 2b (FGFR2b). For signalling to occur, a dimer is required between two FGF:FGFR complexes that is linked together by a molecule of heparin. There are 23 known FGFs, and 4 FGF receptors. FGF:FGFR binding is complex and regulated by a variety of mechanisms in a tissue specific manner. FGF10 Fibroblast growth factor 10 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''FGF10'' gene. It is a polypeptide of 208 amino acids. Human FGF10 gene is highly homologous (95.6%) to rat FGF10, where it was first discovered. Kolar Gold Field (Vidhan Sabha Constituency)
Kolar Gold Fields is one of the constituencies in Karnataka Legislative Assembly in India. It is a segment of Kolar Lok Sabha constituency. This constituency has been reserved for Scheduled Castes since its establishment. It was represented by two members until the 1957 Mysore State Legislative Assembly election. Due to the prevalence of Tamil labourers in the gold fields, mainly Dalits, the constituency was represented by Tamils (and sometimes Tamil Nadu regional parties) until 2008, when the delimitation made Tamils a less decisive factor.
