''Kaamatan'', ''Tadau Kaamatan'' or ''Pesta Kaamatan'' is a form of harvest festival celebrated on 30 and 31 May annually in the States and federal territories of Malaysia, state of Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan in Malaysia. It is observed annually on the month of May by the Kadazan-Dusun, Murut people, Murut, Rungus people, Rungus, and Lundayeh people, Lundayeh ethnic groups as a commemoration for the sacrifice of ''Huminodun'' towards her community where various cultural and crafts performances were exhibited throughout the celebrations at the Hongkod Koisaan Hall in Penampang District with symbolic decoration followed by family and other social gatherings. Unduk Ngadau
''Unduk Ngadau'' or ''Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan'' is a beauty pageant held annually during the ''Kaamatan'' cultural event in Sabah, Malaysia. The pageant competition is originally held between different Districts of Malaysia#East Malaysia (Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan), districts in Sabah (district level) and have since been expanded between different States and federal territories of Malaysia, states and federal territories (state level) of Malaysia. Kadazandusun (also written as Kadazan-Dusun or Mamasok) are the largest ethnic group in Sabah, Malaysia, an amalgamation of the closely related indigenous peoples, indigenous Kadazan people, Kadazan and Dusun people, Dusun peoples. "Kadazandusun" is an umbrella term that encompasses both the Kadazan and Dusun peoples. They are also known as Mamasok Sabah, meaning "indigenous people of Sabah". Dusun People
Dusun is the collective name of an indigenous ethnic group to the Malaysian state of Sabah of North Borneo. Collectively, they form the largest ethnic group in Sabah. The Dusun people have been internationally recognised as indigenous to Borneo since 2004 as per the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). ''Gawai Dayak'', ''Ari Gawai'' or ''Andu Gawai'' is a form of harvest festival celebrated on 1 and 2 June annually in the States and federal territories of Malaysia, state of Sarawak in Malaysia. Bobohizan
A ''Bobohizan'' ( Tangaa' Kadazan term) or ''Bobolian'' ( Bundu Liwan Dusun term) is a high priestess, a ritual specialist and a spirit medium in the pagan rites of the Kadazan-Dusun in Sabah, Malaysia. The head of ''bobohizan'' or ''bobolian'', is also the chief preserver of Momolianism, i.e. the philosophy and way of life of the Kadazan-Dusun people. Rungus People
The Momogun Rungus are an Austronesian peoples, Austronesian ethnic group indigenous to Sabah, Malaysia. They primarily live in northern Sabah especially in Kudat, Kota Marudu and Pitas, Malaysia, Pitas districts with small minorities in the Beluran district of the east coast Sandakan Division. They have a distinct language, dress, architecture, customs and oral literature from other Dusunic sub-groups. There are around 74,000 Rungus people in the state. Sumazau
The ''Sumazau'' is a traditional dance performed by the Kadazan-Dusun from Penampang and adjacent areas in the western coast and interior of Sabah, Malaysia throughout the ''Kaamatan'' festival. The dance involves male and female pairs who are dressed in traditional clothing. The rhythm of the dance is set by the beat of hanging gongs. Lundayeh People
The Lun Bawang (formerly known as Trusan Murut and Mengalong Murut or Southern Murut) is an ethnic group found in Central Northern Borneo. They are indigenous to the southwest of Sabah (Interior Division including Labuan) and the northern region of Sarawak ( Limbang Division), highlands of North Kalimantan (Long Bawan , Krayan, Malinau, Mentarang ) and Brunei (Temburong District).
