Azerbaijan National Independence Party
The National Independence Party of Azerbaijan () is a centre-right political party in Azerbaijan. History NIPA was founded on July 3–4, 1992 and was officially registered at the Justice Ministry on July 17 the same year, reestablishing multi-party system in Azerbaijan after 70 years of Soviet rule. NIPA was the first political organization to struggle for political power and its party leader Etibar Mammadov was one of the leading figures of the Azerbaijani national freedom movement. While holding a press conference in Moscow City on January 26, 1990, on the massacres committed by the Soviet Union in Baku January 20, 1990, Etibar Mammadov was arrested and detained in the Lefortovo prison. The Independence Movement (; ''Harakat Al-Istiklal'' or ''Al Haraka'') is a sovereigntist, reformist and secular center-right political party based in Zgharta, Lebanon, founded in 2006 by Michel René Moawad, son of the assassinated Lebanese President President René Moawad and first lady Nayla Moawad; a former Member of the Lebanese Parliament. Guardians Of Independence
The Guardians of Independence (Arabic: حارس الاستقلال; ''Haras al Istiqlal'') were a secretive, clandestine political group established in early 1919 to oppose the British occupation of Iraq following World War I. Ja'far Abu al-Timman was its main organizer and leader. The Guardians of Independence used both nationalist and religious rhetoric against the British presence and contributed greatly to the rise of emotions that led to the 1920 revolt. It called for Iraqi and Syrian independence, the establishment of a constitutional monarchy, and the rejection of technical or economic assistance from the British. It concentrated most of its activities in the central Euphrates and in Baghdad. Independence Party (Mandatory Palestine)
The Independence Party of Palestine (''Hizb al-Istiqlal'') was an Arab nationalist political party established on 13 August 1932 in Palestine during the British Mandate. The party was founded by Muhammad Izzat Darwaza, and the other founders of the party were Fahmi al-Abboushi, Mu'in al-Madi, Akram Zu'aytir, ‘Ajaj Nuwayhid, Rashid al-Haj Ibrahim, Subhi al-Khadra, and Salim Salamah. The party did not achieve a large membership but Awni Abd al-Hadi, through his role as private secretary to Amir Feisal in Damascus between 1918-1920, had good relations with many senior leaders across the Arab world. The Istiqlal Party (; ; ) is a political party in Morocco. It is a conservative and monarchist party and a member of the Centrist Democrat International and International Democracy Union. Istiqlal headed a coalition government under Abbas El Fassi from 19 September 2007 to 29 November 2011. From 2013 to 2021, it was part of the opposition. Since 2021 it is part of a coalition government led by Aziz Akhannouch. Istiglaliyyat Street () is an arterial road in the central uptown part of Baku, Azerbaijan.
