The Huygens Institute for the History of the Netherlands was formed on January 1, 2011, through a merger of the Institute of Dutch History (, ING) a research institute of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, and the Huygens Instituut of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (founded in 1808). ING Unsung Heroes
ING Unsung Heroes is a grant program for Kindergarten through 12th grade educators in the United States. The program is run by the U.S. Financial Services division of global financial services company ING Group (ING). The program awards funding to K-12 educators for innovative classroom projects they currently operate, as well as projects they would like to implement. Program overview Each year, 100 educators are selected from a pool of applicants to receive awards of $2,000 each. Three of those finalists are chosen to receive additional funding. Ing River
The Ing River (, , ) is a tributary of the Mekong River in the northern part of Thailand. It has its source in Doi Luang, Phi Pan Nam Range, in Mae Chai District, Phayao Province. The Ing flows through the plain area of Thoeng District. The Ing Watershed is one of the most abundant watersheds in Thailand. It consists of rich natural resources and ecosystem diversity, including forests, mountains, rivers, stream tributaries, and watershed areas. The 260-kilometer basin river flows from Phayao Province to Chiang Rai Province in Northern part of Thailand before linking to Mekong River. The Roches were an American vocal trio of sisters Maggie, Terre and Suzzy Roche, from Park Ridge, New Jersey. Career In the late 1960s, eldest sister Maggie (October 26, 1951 – January 21, 2017) and middle sister Terre (pronounced "Terry", born April 10, 1953) attended Park Ridge High School, but dropped out of school to tour as a duo. Maggie wrote most of the songs, with Terre contributing to a few. The sisters got a break when Paul Simon brought them in as backup singers on his 1973 album '' There Goes Rhymin' Simon''. They got his assistance (along with an appearance by the Oak Ridge Boys) on their only album as a duo, '' Seductive Reasoning'' (1975). Ing Chang-ki (; 23 October 1916 – 27 August 1997) was a Chinese industrialist, Go player, and Go promoter. He was the founder of the Ing Cup. He is also known for promoting the Ing rules of Go. He also promoted one of the first digital game clocks to support byoyomi, per-move time control. Biography Ing Chang-ki was born in Cixi County (currently Cicheng, Jiangbei District, Ningbo), Zhejiang Province in 1917. As a young man, Ing worked as a clerk in a bank in Shanghai, where he later became a famous local banker.
