Uriah Heep are an English rock music, rock band formed in London in 1969. Their current lineup consists of guitarist Mick Box, keyboardist Phil Lanzon, lead vocalist Bernie Shaw, drummer Russell Gilbrook, and bassist Dave Rimmer. Uriah Heep is a fictional character created by Charles Dickens Charles John Huffam Dickens (; 7 February 1812 – 9 June 1870) was an English novelist, journalist, short story writer and Social criticism, social critic. Danny Heep
Daniel William Heep (born July 3, 1957) is an American former Major League Baseball outfielder. Heep, who batted and threw left-handed, played for five different ballclubs during his 13-year career: the Houston Astros (1979–1982), New York Mets (1983–1986), Los Angeles Dodgers (1987–1988), Boston Red Sox (1989–1990), and Atlanta Braves (1991). Heep played for two different World Series champions: the New York Mets in 1986, and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1988. Baseball career Heep played baseball for, and graduated from, Lee High School in San Antonio. Heep played for St. Mary's University in San Antonio where he was twice an All-American, in 1976 and 1978, as a pitcher. Franz Heep
Adolf Franz Heep (July 24, 1902 – April 3, 1978) was a German-Brazilian architect. He is known for his work in São Paulo in the 1950s and 1960s, the period of verticalization of the city. His signature work is Edifício Itália, once the tallest building in the city of São Paulo at . It was designated a landmark building by the city of São Paulo in 1992. Heep also worked as an educator at Mackenzie Presbyterian University in São Paulo and later for the United Nations. Early career Adolf Heep was born in Fachbach, Rhineland-Palatinate on July 24, 1902. He studied architecture at the Kunstschule, Frankfurt am Main, which like the Bauhaus implemented reforms in the teaching of art and architecture. Maria Heep-Altiner (born 29 December 1959 in Niederzeuzheim) is a German mathematician, actuary and university lecturer. Life After graduating from the Prince Johann Ludwig School in Hadamar in 1978, Heep-Altiner studied mathematics and economics at the University of Bonn. In 1989 she earned her doctorate in mathematics on the number theory topic "Period relations for GL_2(f)" under Günter Harder and Michael Rapoport. She then worked as an actuary for Gerling, before she moved companies in 1994 to Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG. There she became the actuarial manager for property insurance. In 2006, she moved to Talanx, where she was responsible for setting up an internal holding model. In 2008, Heep-Altiner returned to academia as a professor at the Institute of Insurance at Cologne university of applied sciences.
