Gynarchy
A matrifocal family structure is one where mothers head families, and fathers play a less important role in the home and in bringing up children. Definition In 1956, the concept of the matrifocal family was introduced to the study of Caribbean societies by Raymond T. Smith. He linked the emergence of matrifocal families with how households are formed in the region: "The household group tends to be matri-focal in the sense that a woman in the status of 'mother' is usually the '' de facto'' leader of the group, and conversely the husband-father, although ''de jure'' head of the household group (if present), is usually marginal to the complex of internal relationships of the group. Matriarchy
Matriarchy is a social system in which positions of Power (social and political), power and Social privilege, privilege are held by women. In a broader sense it can also extend to moral authority, social privilege, and control of property. Bunt (community)
The Bunt (, ) people are an Indian community who historically have inhabited the Tulu Nadu region in South India. Bunts were traditionally a Kshatriya, warrior-class or martial caste community, with agrarian origins, forming the landed gentry of the region. They are the dominant land-owning, farming and banking community of Tulu Nadu and speak Tulu language, Tulu and Kundagannada as their mother tongue. Patriarchy is a social system in which positions of authority are primarily held by men. Discrimination based on skin tone, also known as colorism or shadeism, is a form of prejudice and discrimination in which individuals of the same race receive benefits or disadvantages based on the color of their skin. More specifcally, colorism is the process of discrimination marginalizes darker-skinned people over their lighter-skinned counter parts. Historically, colorism on a global scale has colonial roots, ranging from early class hierarchies in Asia to it's impact on Latinos and African Americans through European colonialism and slavery in the Americas. Slavery
Slavery is the ownership of a person as property, especially in regards to their labour.
