The Gulf logperch (''Percina suttkusi'') is a small species of freshwater ray-finned fish, a darter from the subfamily Etheostomatinae, part of the Family (biology), family Percidae, which also contains the perches, Gymnocephalus, ruffes and Sander (fish), pikeperches. It is found in North America where it occurs in the coastal river systems Of the Gulf of Mexico from Lake Pontchartrain drainages east through the Pearl River (Mississippi–Louisiana), Pearl and Pascagoula River, Pascagoula drainages to the Mobile basin. ''Percina'' is a genus of small freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the subfamily Etheostomatinae, which is part of the family Percidae. The Percidae family also includes the perches, ruffes and pikeperches from North America. Along with similar fishes in other genera, members of ''Percina'' are commonly known as " darters". Bogalusa ( ) is a city in Washington Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 12,232 at the 2010 census. In th2020 censusthe city reported a population of 10,659. The Pascagoula River is a river, about 80 miles (130 km) long, in southeastern Mississippi in the United States. The river drains an area of about 8,800 square miles (23,000 km²) and flows into Mississippi Sound of the Gulf of Mexico. The Pascagoula River Basin is managed by the Pat Harrison Waterway District.
