Glypican
Glypicans constitute one of the two major families of heparan sulfate proteoglycans, with the other major family being syndecans. Six glypicans have been identified in mammals, and are referred to as GPC1 through GPC6. In ''Drosophila'' two glypicans have been identified, and these are referred to as dally (division abnormally delayed) and dally-like. One glypican has been identified in ''C. elegans''. The General Polygon Clipper (GPC) is a software library providing for computing the results of clipping operations on sets of polygons. It generalises the computer graphics clipping problem of intersecting polygons with polygons. The first release of GPC was designed and implemented in 1997 by Alan Murta. the final GPC release was version 2.32. The core GPC library is written in the C programming language but the library has also been ported to work with several other languages. Availability Since August 2020, GPC is no longer officially distributed by the author. L-α-Glycerophosphorylcholine (alpha-GPC, choline alfoscerate, ''sn''-glycero-3-phosphocholine) is a natural choline compound found in the brain. It is also a parasympathomimetic acetylcholine precursor which has been investigated for its potential for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. GPC Biotech (also referred to as ''GPCbiotech'' and ''GPC-Biotech'') was a German biopharmaceutical company. The company's mission statement reads "... to discover, develop and commercialize new anticancer drugs." Oak Care Centre (formerly George Pearson Centre) is a long term residential care facility located in the Marpole neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia, and is currently owned and operated by Vancouver Coastal Health.
