Pornogrind (also known as porngrind or pornogore) is a musical microgenre offshoot of goregrind that lyrically deals with sexual and pornographic themes, hence the name. Characteristics The genre is related and similar to goregrind but does bear distinguishing features. Dead Infection
Dead Infection was a Polish goregrind band, that was founded in 1990 by Cyjan and Domin (ex members of grindcore band Front Terror). Since their formation, the band has released a few full-length albums, and 7-inch EPs. They are the second band from Poland after Vader that made a deal to release a CD/LP with a non-European label. Their second album, ''A Chapter Of Accidents'', is considered by many to be among the milestones of goregrind music. They played numerous live shows around the world, across Europe, the United States, South America, Mexico, and Japan. In February 2020, Cyjan died, which led to the group's disbandment. Carcass (band)
Carcass are an English death metal band from Liverpool, formed in 1985. The band have gone through several line-up changes, leaving guitarist Bill Steer and bassist-vocalist Jeff Walker as the only constant members. They broke up in 1996, but reformed in 2007 without original drummer Ken Owen, for health reasons. To date, the band have released seven studio albums, two compilation albums, four EPs, two demo albums, one video album, and six music videos. Horrified
''Horrified'' is the only studio album by American grindcore band Repulsion. Originally released as a demo tape titled ''Slaughter of the Innocent'', the band recorded the album for US$300 at the basement studio of engineer Larry Hennessy in June 1986. It features fast songs combining elements of thrash metal, death metal and hardcore punk; blast beats; and bloody, gory lyrics. Reek Of Putrefaction
''Reek of Putrefaction'' is the debut album by British extreme metal band Carcass. It was released by Earache Records in July 1988. It is considered the first release in the goregrind genre, which the band pioneered. Recording and production ''Reek of Putrefaction'' was recorded in four days at Rich Bitch Studios in Birmingham. According to guitarist Bill Steer, the studio's engineer "ruined" the record, especially its drum tracks. Carcass had only had a few hours available of mixing, so they had to release the LP as it was to meet the label's deadline. The band were "everything but happy" with the result, declared Steer. When the master recording was first sent to the pressing plant, the original vinyl LP had to be pressed at lower volumes, because the bass frequencies were so low (sometimes reaching 25 Hz) that they were in danger of rendering higher frequencies inaudible. ''Ultimo Mondo Cannibale'' is the debut album by American band Impetigo. It was released in 1990 and was a major influence in the grindcore and goregrind scene.Badin, Olivier (2009). "Goregrind".
