Golf in China is a growing industry, with numerous golf Golf course, courses being established, especially in the province of Hainan. Mission Hills Haikou
Mission Hills Haikou is a golf complex in Haikou, Hainan, China. Located around 10 km south of the center of Haikou, it comprises 10 golf courses, and at the north end, hotels including a Ritz Carlton and Renaissance, condominiums, a water park, and a ''Centreville'' (downtown) which includes numerous restaurants and shops. The site is 20 km2 (almost the same size of Manhattan) making it the second largest golf complex in the world. The largest is the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen. History Construction started in 2006 but stopped for several months during 2008 because of land disputes. As of 2018, the complex is nearly complete. The WGC-HSBC Champions was a professional golf tournament, held annually in China. Inaugurated in 2005, the first seven editions were played at the Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai, then moved to the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen for a single year in 2012. It returned to Sheshan Golf Club in 2013. Since 2009, it was a World Golf Championship event. Sheshan International Golf Club
Sheshan, known in Shanghainese as Zose, is a pair of hills in Songjiang District in western Shanghai, China. A far-reaching anti-corruption campaign began in China following the conclusion of the 18th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2012.
