Fatality (Mortal Kombat)
Fatality is a gameplay feature in the ''Mortal Kombat'' fighting game series, in which the victor of the match inflicts a brutally murderous finishing move onto their defeated opponent. Prompted by the announcer saying "Finish Him" or "Finish Her", players have a short time window to execute a Fatality by entering specific commands while positioned at a specific distance from the opponent. A Fatality always marks the end of the entire match, whether done through standard play or a modifier. Fatality (Yrra Cynril) is a supervillain in the DC Comics DC Universe, universe. She was created by Ron Marz and first appeared in ''Green Lantern'' (vol. 3) #83 in February 1997. Johnathan Wendel (born February 26, 1981), also known as Fatal1ty (pronounced "Fatality"), is an American entrepreneur and former professional esports player. He made his professional debut at a 1999 Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) tournament, securing third place and $4,000. Wendel continued to compete in CPL events, claiming multiple championships and accumulating $110,000 in prize money. His success soared in subsequent years. Wendel won the CPL World Championship for ''Aliens vs. Predator 2'' in 2001. He became a world champion in ''Unreal Tournament 2003'' after winning the 2002 CPL Winter event. Lethality
Lethality (also called deadliness or perniciousness) is how capable something is of causing death. Most often it is used when referring to diseases, chemical weapons, biological weapons, or their toxic chemical components. The use of this term denotes the ability of these weapons to kill, but also the possibility that they may not kill. Reasons for the lethality of a weapon to be inconsistent, or expressed by percentage, can be as varied as minimized exposure to the weapon, previous exposure to the weapon minimizing susceptibility, degradation of the weapon over time and/or distance, and incorrect deployment of a multi-component weapon.
