Erna Raid ( et, Erna retk) was an annual international military exercise and competition, one of the longest and most difficult in the world, held every August from 1995 to 2011 in Estonia. Erna Friðriksdóttir (born 2 November 1987) is an Icelandic alpine skier. She competes in Paralympic alpine skiing, in the sitting category, using a monoski. She qualified to represent Iceland in alpine skiing at the 2010 Winter Paralympics in Vancouver, competing in the women's slalom and the women's giant slalom. Erna Lazarus (June 16, 1903Massachusetts, Birth Records, 1840-1915 – February 19, 2006) was a screen and television writer from the 1930s through the 1960s. Lazarus, born in Boston, Massachusetts, was one of the founding members of the Screen Writers Guild. On her death, '' Variety'' credited her as "one of the first female screenwriters working steadily in the studio system." Erna Brodber
Erna Brodber (born 20 April 1940) is a Jamaican writer, sociologist and social activist. She is the sister of writer Velma Pollard. Biography Born in the farming village of Woodside, Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica, she gained a B.A. from the University College of the West Indies, followed by an MSc and PhD, and has received a predoctoral fellowship in psychiatric anthropology. She subsequently worked as a civil servant, teacher, sociology lecturer, and researcher at the Institute for Social and Economic Research in the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, Jamaica. During Brodber's time working at the Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of the West Indies, she collected several oral histories of elderly people's lives in rural Jamaica, which inspired her novel, Louisiana. Erna Berger (19 October 1900 – 14 June 1990) was a German lyric coloratura soprano. She was best known for her Queen of the Night and her Konstanze. Career Born in Dresden, Germany, Berger spent some years as a child in India and South America. She lived there later on as well, working as a clerk and a piano teacher, before borrowing enough money for the trip back to Germany. Erna Flegel (11 July 1911 – 16 February 2006) was a German nurse. In late April 1945 she worked at the emergency casualty station at the Reich Chancellery in Berlin, and was one of the final occupants of the ''Führerbunker'' before she was captured by the Red Army on 2 May 1945. Biography From January 1943 until the end of World War II, as well as during the Battle of Berlin, Flegel served as a nurse for Hitler's entourage. She worked alongside one of Hitler's physicians, Werner Haase, as a nurse at Humboldt University Hospital and was transferred to the Reich Chancellery in late April 1945. Erna (minor planet designation: 406 Erna), provisional designation , is a dark asteroid of the background population in the outer regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 46 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered by French astronomer Auguste Charlois at Nice Observatory on 22 August 1895. The asteroid was presumably named after Erna Bidschof, the granddaughter of Johann Palisa.
