Riemke Ensing
Riemke Ensing (born 1939) is a Dutch-born New Zealand poet. She has published and edited numerous books and is notable for synthesising European and New Zealand influences in her work. Early life Ensing was born in Groningen, The Netherlands in 1939. She immigrated to New Zealand in 1951 at age twelve. She studied at Ardmore Teachers' Training College, then taught for two years, returning to the College to lecture in English literature for a year. Career Ensing earned a master's degree in 1967, and was appointed to a position in Literature in the English Department at the University of Auckland. There she taught until 1999 when she took early retirement and was later appointed an Honorary Research Fellow (Faculty of Arts). In 2002 she was awarded a Sargeson Fellowship, sponsored by the law firm Buddle Findlay. She received an Honours List Award from the New Zealand Society of Authors in 2019. Janneke Ensing
Janneke Ensing (born 21 September 1986) is a Dutch former sportsperson, who competed in speed skating in the 2000s before becoming a cyclist, competing for seven different teams between 2009 and 2021. Career Speed skating In 2002, she was the Dutch national C-junior champion. Two years later she won a bronze medal as a B-junior. At the 2007 KNSB Dutch Single Distance Championships Ensing finished 10th over 1500 metres. She also represented her country at the 2007 Winter Universiade held in Turin where she won the gold medal at the team pursuit together with Moniek Kleinsman and Diane Valkenburg. In 2010, Ensing finished fifth in the KNSB Dutch Allround Championships. Cycling Ensing started riding a bicycle in the summer as a means of cross-training before starting to compete in cycle racing. Kyle Ensing
Kyle Ensing (born March 6, 1997) is an American indoor volleyball player plays as an opposite hitter on the United States men's national volleyball team. On club level, he plays for Saint-Nazaire Volley-Ball Atlantique in France. Personal life Ensing is from Santa Clarita, California and attended high school at Valencia High School. He primarily played basketball and football in his youth and discovered interest in volleyball in high school. For his performance on the volleyball team, he was named the 2014 All Santa Clarita Valley Player of the Year as well as the Daily News All-Area Player of the Year. His brother, Eric, also played volleyball at Long Beach State. Career Long Beach State Ensing played volleyball for Long Beach State, where he made the final four all four years, winning NCAA titles in 2018 and 2019.
