Electrosexual is a French electronic musician, composer, performer, record producer and music video director living in Berlin. They have worked with other musicians such as Peaches, Aérea Negrot, Billie Ray Martin, Hanin Elias and David Carretta. Career Electrosexual's passion for early electronic engines and primitive sounds from analog synthesizers inspired their mingling rough bass with an uptempo rhythm. They are the electro-sex (sometimes called sex-tronica) precursor and pioneer in France. They are an advocate of LGBT rights. Electrosexual created their stage name in reference to surrealistic non "(human) sexuality", considering machines and synthesizers as genitors, following in the footsteps of David Cronenberg, H.R. Picture Disc
Picture discs are gramophone record, gramophone (phonograph) records that show images on their playing surface, rather than being of plain black or colored vinyl. Hanin Elias (born 31 May 1972) is a Syrian German industrial/techno artist. She was a member of Atari Teenage Riot and is now a solo artist. After Atari Teenage Riot's non-definitive break in 2000, and the subsequent death of Carl Crack from a drug overdose, the members of ATR split up, and Elias set up her own record label, Fatal Recordings. Background Elias was born in Wittlich, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany to a Syrian father and a German mother and spent three years of her early life living in Syria. A member of a conservative family living under an autocratic father, when the family moved to Berlin she ran away from home and started squatting in the city. K Records is an independent record label in Olympia, Washington, founded in 1982. Artists on the label included early releases by Beck, Modest Mouse and Built to Spill. The record label has been called "key to the development of independent music" since the 1980s. The label was founded by Beat Happening frontman Calvin Johnson and managed for many years by Candice Pedersen. Many early releases were on the cassette tape format, making the label one of the longest lasting reflections of the cassette culture of the 1970s and early 1980s. Mirah (born Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn) is an American musician and songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York. Robots in Disguise are an English electropunk band composed of Dee Plume (vocals and guitar), Sue Denim (vocals and bass) and a changing line-up of backing musicians. The group released four studio albums between 2000 and 2011. Aérea Negrot (9 October 1980 – 11 October 2023) was a Venezuelan performer, singer, electronic musician and remixer. Negrot lived in Berlin, Germany. Her name was inspired by her fascination with travels and planes and her admiration of the voices of Toña La Negra and Olga Guillot. Her music is a pastiche of electronica, techno, cabaret and pop. She was also part of Hercules & Love Affair, and sings on several tracks of their second album ''Blue Songs''. Her debut album, ''Arabxilla'' (2011), was released on BPitch Control. Add N to (X) were an English electronic music band formed in London in 1994. The original members were Andrew Aveling, Barry Smith (aka Barry 7) and Ann Shenton. Steven Claydon replaced Aveling in 1997. After several releases on small labels, they signed to the independent label Mute Records in 1998, and achieved modest commercial success before splitting in 2003. Several of their songs and music videos are adult/sex-related: the video for "Metal Fingers in My Body" is an animated short featuring a woman having sex with a robot, and their video for "Plug Me In" features porn actresses playing with sex toys. Norman Richard Spinrad (born September 15, 1940) is an American science fiction author, essayist, and critic. His fiction has won the Prix Apollo Award, Prix Apollo and been nominated for numerous awards, including the Hugo Award and multiple Nebula Awards.
