El Vendrell () is a town located in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia, in the wine-growing region of Penedès. It is wedged between the Mediterranean and the coastal range. El Vendrell is the capital of the Baix Penedès ''comarca'' and a tourist spot, with the beaches of Comarruga, and El Vendrell. It is the source of the Catalan family name " Vendrell". The Catalan Coastal Range (, ) is a system of mountain ranges running parallel to the Mediterranean Sea coast in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the Catalan Mediterranean System. Its main axis runs between the Foix River and the Roses Gulf and the average altitude is around 500 m. The highest point is 763 m at the Montnegre. The Catalan Football Federation (, ; FCF) is the Association football, football association responsible for administering football in Catalonia. It was formed on 11 November 1900 as the Football Associació de Catalunya (). It was the first football association founded in Football in Spain, Spain. OK Liga
The OK Liga is the Spanish rink hockey league. History The league was founded in 1969 as División de Honor as an expansion to all the Spanish territory of the Catalan Championship. Until 1971 teams from outside Catalonia did not join the competition. The league changed its name to OK Liga in 2003 and in 2009 the playoffs for the title, that were established in the 2000–01 season, were abolished while several rules from other sports were approved. In April 2017, a new name change for the 2017–18 season was approved and the top tier would be renamed as the OK Liga Oro while the second tier as ''OK Liga Plata''. Also, a new national third tier competition ''OK Liga Bronce'' (with four interregional groups) was foreseen, but due to the lack of interested teams, it wasn't created and the third tier remained at regional level. Roller Hockey (quad)
Roller hockey (in British English), rink hockey (in American English) or ball roller hockey is a team sport played on roller skates. It is a quad-skate team sport where two teams face-off against one another, trying to drive a hard ball with their sticks into the opposing teams' goalnet. Each team has five players on the rink at a time, four of whom are skaters and one who is the goalkeeper. The ball can only be put in motion by a stick, not the skate, otherwise a foul will be stated. The game has two 25-minute halves, with 15-minute halftime intermission, plus up to two 5-minute golden goal (a.k.a. "sudden death") periods to settle ties with the clock stopping when the ball becomes dead. If the tie persists, a penalty shootout will determine the winner. Manuel Nin i Güell (born 20 August 1956) is a Spanish Catholic prelate who has served as Apostolic Exarch of Greece in the Greek Byzantine Catholic Church since 2016. He is a member of the Benedictines. Life Nin was born on August 20, 1956, in the town of El Vendrell in the Catalan province of Tarragona in Spain. He began his early studies in his hometown and completed them at the Colegio La Salle in Reus. After completing his studies, he entered the Abbey of Montserrat as a candidate on 20 September 1975, where he was received into the abbey's novitiate the following April. He professed temporary religious vows on 26 April 1977 and his solemn vows on 18 October 1980. Andreu Nin i Pérez (; 4 February 1892 – 20 June 1937) was a Spanish politician, trade unionist and translator. He is mainly known for his role in various Spanish left-wing movements of the early 20th century and, later, for his role in the Spanish Civil War. He is also known for his work translating Russian classics such as '' Ana Karenina'', '' Crime and Punishment'' and some works by Anton Chekhov, from Russian into Catalan. A teacher and journalist, during his youth he was involved in various political movements until he joined the anarchist Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT). Àngel Guimerà i Jorge (; 6 May 1845 or 6 May 1847 or 1849 – 18 July 1924), usually known simply as Àngel Guimerà , was a Catalan Spanish playwright and poet. His work is known for bringing together under romantic aspects the main elements of realism. He is considered one of the principal representatives of the '' Renaixença'' movement, at the end of the nineteenth century.
