Gameplay "Duck on a rock" is played by placing a somewhat large stone (known as a "duck") upon a larger stone or a tree stump. One player stays near the stone to guard it. The other players throw stones at the "duck" in an attempt to knock it off of the platform. Once the duck stone is knocked off, the throwers all rush to retrieve their stones while the guard replaces the stone and then attempts to tag them. Tag (game)
Tag (also called chase, tig, it, tiggy, tips, tick, on-on and tip) is a playground game involving one or more players chasing other players in an attempt to "tag" and mark them out of play, typically by touching with a hand. There are many variations; most forms have no teams, scores, or equipment. Usually when a person is tagged, the tagger says, "It!", "Tag, you're 'It'!" or "Tag". The last one tagged during tag is "It" for the next round. The game is known by other names in various parts of the world, including "running and catching" in India and "catch and cook" in the Middle East. Origin of name The game has many different names in different parts of the UK: 'tig' in Yorkshire, Scotland, and in the North West of England; and 'it' in the South of England. James Naismith
James Naismith (; November 6, 1861November 28, 1939) was a Scottish-Canadian-American physical educator, physician, Christian chaplain, and sports coach, best known as the inventor of the game of basketball. After moving to the United States, he wrote the James Naismith's Original Rules of Basketball, original basketball rule book and founded the Kansas Jayhawks basketball, University of Kansas basketball program in 1898. Naismith lived to see basketball adopted as an Olympic demonstration sport in 1904 Summer Olympics, 1904 and as an official event at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, as well as the birth of the National Invitation Tournament (1938) and the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship, NCAA Tournament (1939). Tumbang Preso
''Tumbang preso'' ("knock down the prisoner"), also known as ''tumbang lata'' ("knock down the can") or ''bato lata'' ("hit the can ith a stone), is a Filipino traditional children's game. The game involves throwing a slipper at a can or bottle, which one player - the ''tayà'' - attempts to guard. The game is usually played in backyards, parks, or streets when there is little traffic in an area. Description The equipment needs an empty soda can or any kind of can or bottle, and a slipper for each player. To make the game enjoyable and exciting, there should be no more than nine players.
