Domicide
Domicide (from Latin ''domus'', meaning home or abode, and ''caedo'', meaning deliberate killing, though used here metaphorically) is the deliberate destruction of housing by humans in pursuit of specified goals. It includes the widespread destruction of a living environment, forcing the incumbent humans to move elsewhere. The concept of domicide originated in the 1970s, but only assumed its present meaning in 2022, after a report by the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing, Balakrishnan Rajagopal. Rajagopal has argued that international law should be amended to consider domicide to be a war crime. Dahiya Doctrine
The Dahiya doctrine, or Dahya doctrine, is an Israeli military strategy involving the large-scale destruction of civilian infrastructure, or domicide, to pressure hostile governments. The doctrine was outlined by former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of General Staff Gadi Eizenkot. Israel colonel Gabi Siboni wrote that Israel "should target economic interests and the centers of civilian power that support the organization". The logic is to cause difficulties for the civilian population so much that they will then turn against the militants, forcing the enemy to sue for peace. Ethnic hatred, inter-ethnic hatred, racial hatred, or ethnic tension refers to notions and acts of prejudice and hostility towards an ethnic group to varying degrees. Dehousing was a military strategy adopted by the United Kingdom against the Nazi Germany during World War II from 1942 to 1945. It sought to maximize the damage to civilian housing in Germany's largest cities during Royal Air Force raids as part of a demoralisation campaign against the German public. The Dehousing strategy was proposed via a memorandum on 30 March 1942, by Professor Frederick Lindemann, Baron Cherwell, the British government's chief scientific adviser who believed that this strategy would allow them to avoid an invasion of Europe. The Indian Removal Act of 1830 was signed into law on May 28, 1830, by United States president Andrew Jackson. The law, as described by Congress, provided "for an exchange of lands with the Indians residing in any of the states or territories, and for their removal west of the Mississippi River, river Mississippi".
