Death N Roll
Death 'n' roll (portmanteau of ''death'' metal and rock'' 'n' roll'') is a subgenre of death metal music that incorporates hard rock-inspired elements. The achieved effect is that of death metal's trademark combination of growled vocals and highly distorted detuned guitar riffing with elements reminiscent of 1970s hard rock and heavy metal. Notable examples include Entombed, Gorefest, Carcass, Xysma, Convulse, Kaptain Sun, Six Feet Under, Pungent Stench and the Fernando Colunga Ultimate Experience. History While the "death 'n' roll" tag was first associated with Entombed, Daniel Ekeroth associates the style with a previous group called Furbowl. After Entombed's release, ''Wolverine Blues'', the band became associated with what the music press dubbed as "death 'n' roll", a label which has followed Entombed's career ever since. In the years following the album's release, the sound was embraced by Dismember on ''Massive Killing Capacity'' (1995), Carcass on '' Swansong ...

Soon after, the death metal/grindcore influence spread to the Helsinki area, with bands such as Abhorrence (which soon evolved into the melodic death metal band Amorphis). Wolverine Blues
''Wolverine Blues'' is the third studio album by Swedish death metal band Entombed, released on 31 August 1993 by Earache Records. The album displays a completely different sound from previous releases, combining elements of hard rock, heavy metal, and hardcore punk while still retaining much of their traditional, death metal roots, in a style that would later be known as death 'n' roll. The band also adopted a mid-tempo groove metal style for this release, similar to that of American band Pantera. Marvel character One version of ''Wolverine Blues'' was released with Marvel Comics' character Wolverine on the cover, despite Entombed never wanting their album to be associated with the superhero. Earache Records, without the band's permission, had made a deal with Marvel in order to use Wolverine to promote the album to a more mainstream audience, with the music video for the title track prominently featuring illustrations of the character. This edition included a Wolverine mini- ...

Fernando Colunga Ultimate Experience
Fernando Colunga Ultimate Experience (shorten as FCUE) is a Serbian metal band from Požarevac. The name of the band comes from the Mexican soap opera actor Fernando Colunga Olivares. Band history The band was formed in 2010 by the actual line-up of Marko Živković, Stefan Milenković and Antonio Jovanović. FCUE started as an informal side-project, formed mainly for recreative purposes; mixing the musical bases of genres like grindcore, with some comical and parodic lyrics about soap operas and various cultural icons like Steven Seagal. The name of the band was inspired by the famous Mexican actor, Fernando Colunga; who is compared by the line-up with the American actor Chuck Norris, due to the vast number of characters that Fernando Colunga interpreted in his career.
