Cheerbleederz
Cheerbleederz are a British indie rock power trio formed in London. The band consists of Kathryn Woods (guitar), Sophie MacKenzie (bass) and Phoebe Cross (drums). They all contribute vocals. They have released two EPs and one full-length album, all released by Alcopop! Records. They are sometimes referred to as a DIY supergroup due to their members having been in other bands such as Fresh, Happy Accidents, Me Rex, Finish Flag and Supermilk. History Cheerbleederz released their debut EP, ''Faceplant'', via Alcopop! Records in December 2018. In June 2020 they released a followup, ''Lobotany'', which Godisinthetv zine called "a very fine record indeed". In July 2022 they released their debut album, ''Even In Jest''. Alcopop! Records
Alcopop! Records is a British independent record label, run by Jack Clothier and Kevin Douch formed in East Oxford, 2006. The label works with DITZ, DZ Deathrays, Johnny Foreigner, Fight Like Apes, Anamanaguchi, Peaness, TIGERCUB, Gaffa Tape Sandy, The Spook School, Nelson Can, and QI. Inception Alcopop! Records was formally created after a small loan was gambled on the Charlton vs Portsmouth match of 16 September 2006, with money for the first release and show generated from a successful bet on the match. This money was invested in a band from Yeovil called Encyclopedia, with the first single "Emily" (Alcopop001) kicking off the 2006/7 singles club (which also included the likes of Midget, data.select.party and 4 or 5 Magicians). Happy Accidents (band)
Happy Accidents is a British band based in London, consisting of Rich Mandell (guitar and vocals) and Phoebe Cross (drums and vocals). They began as a pop punk trio, with Rich's brother Neil Mandell on bass. By their second album they had developed in a more indie rock direction. They have currently released three full-length albums, mostly on Alcopop! Records. History Happy Accidents was formed in Southampton in 2013 by siblings Neil (bass) and Rich Mandell (guitar and vocals), and Phoebe Cross (drums and vocals). After releasing an EP and a split 7-inch on Don't Ask Records in 2014, and relocating to London, the band signed to Alcopop! 2000trees is an independent rock music festival held over three days at Upcote Farm, Withington, near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, with a focus on upcoming and underground acts. It won the Grass Roots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards 2010, 2013 and 2017 and the Best Medium-Sized UK Festival in 2018. History 2000trees was started by six friends in 2007, focusing on providing an alternative to large mainstream rock festivals. The festival focuses on rock and indie music and is run as an independent business, with the core organiser team only paying themselves salaries if the festival makes a profit. It has a cap of 15,000 attendees, to keep the "unique 2000Trees vibe" of a small festival with a close-knit atmosphere. Me Rex, stylised as ME REX, is a British indie rock band formed in London by songwriter Myles McCabe. Initially a solo endeavour, it has now expanded to a full band with the addition of Rich Mandell ( Happy Accidents) and Phoebe Cross (Happy Accidents, Cheerbleederz). They have released two studio albums and multiple EPs. History Myles McCabe originally formed Me Rex in 2015 as a solo project, though occasionally working with collaborators.
