History The town was first mentioned in 916 as ''Fonte de Capela'', one of the first settlements of the region. Its name, in Spanish, means "chapels". Castromocho is a municipality located in the province of Palencia, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census ( INE), the municipality had a population of 258 inhabitants.
