Brokencyde (stylized as brokeNCYDE) is an American hip hop group from Albuquerque, New Mexico, founded in 2006. The group's lineup consists of Michael "Mikl" Shea and Julian "Phat J" McLellan, and musically are one of the founding groups in the crunkcore genre, which (in general description) is crunk hip hop music with screamed vocals. History Formation, record deal and debut album (2006–2009) Brokencyde was founded by singers Se7en and Mikl. The name of the group supposedly originated from the idea that their music was "broke inside" due to personal problems. After the band began promoting themselves online, members Phat J and Antz joined Brokencyde. They released their debut mixtape, ''The Broken!'', in July 2007, followed by another mixtape, ''Tha $c3ne Mixtape'' (2008). Crunkcore (also known as crunk punk, screamo crunk, and scrunk) is a musical fusion genre characterized by the combination of musical elements from crunk, post-hardcore (particularly pop screamo), Heavy metal music, heavy metal, pop music, pop, electronic music, electronic and dance music. The genre often features Screaming (music), screamed vocals, hip hop music, hip hop beats, and sexually provocative lyrics. Millionaires is an American electronic music group consisting of Melissa Marie Green and Meredith Hurley. The group, formed in August 2007, originally consisted of Green and her sister Allison Green, as well as friend Dani Artaud. The group mix explicit lyrics with an electropop backing. Their image and lyrics generated controversy during their early years. The band released three EPs, several singles—including "Stay the Night", which charted for a short time in the UK, and their debut album, ''Tonight'', released in March 2013. In 2016, they released a single with producer Wade Martin titled "When I'm Single". X-Ray Records is an American independent record label specializing in hip hop music. History X-Ray Records is an imprint under the Cleopatra Records, Inc. label group that focuses on hip hop and modern R&B. The imprint began in 2000 just as the label was starting to diversify after predominantly focusing on gothic and industrial music throughout the late ‘90s. It made an auspicious start with SX-10, the hip hop/metal hybrid featuring Sen Dog of Cypress Hill. Releases from KRS-One, Mellow Man Ace, Gravediggaz, Junior M.A.F.I.A. and Westside Connection followed. Breathe Carolina are an American electronic music duo from Denver, Colorado. The duo formed in 2007 consisting of David Schmitt and Kyle Even. They later expanded to a full band whose best-known lineup included Schmitt, Even, drummer Eric Armenta, keytarist Joshua Aragon and DJ Luis Bonet. In 2013, Even left the group, while Tommy Cooperman joined that year. Breathe Carolina is currently composed of Schmitt and Cooperman. Karate High School was an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 2004 by frontman, multi-instrumentalist and producer Paul McGuire. On March 21, 2006, the band released their debut album, ''Arcade Rock''. Karate High School's second album, ''The League Of Tomorrow'', was released on September 4, 2007, which further honed the band's layered, keyboard-driven style of alternative rock. On November 11, 2008, Karate High School announced that they had signed to Eyeball Records, and would release a new record entitled Invaders on May 19, 2009. Drop Dead, Gorgeous is an American post-hardcore band from Denver, Colorado. It consisted of frontman Danny Stillman (lead vocals), Kyle Browning (lead guitar), Jake Hansen (bass), Dan Gustavson (rhythm guitar), Jonathan Leary (keys/synth/programming) and Danny Cooper (drums, percussion). They released three full-length albums, as well as an EP. ''Total Request Live'' (commonly abbreviated as ''TRL'') is an American television program that premiered on MTV on September 14, 1998. The early version of ''TRL'' featured popular music videos played during its countdown and was also used as a promotion tool by musicians, actors, and other celebrities to promote their newest works to target the show's Teen culture, teen demographic. During the original run of the program, ''TRL'' played the ten most requested music videos of the day, as voted on by viewers via phone or online. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour is a Concert tour, touring Rock music, rock music festival that toured the United States and Canada each summer from 1995 until 2019, and returned in 2025 for its 30th anniversary. By 2015, Warped was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival in North America. Internationally, the festival stopped in Australia from 1998–2002 and again in 2013, as well as the United Kingdom in 2012 and 2015.
