''Bound'' is a 1996 American neo-noir crime thriller film written and directed by the Wachowskis in their feature film directorial debut. Violet (Jennifer Tilly), who longs to escape her relationship with her mafioso boyfriend Caesar (Joe Pantoliano), enters into a clandestine affair with alluring ex-con Corky (Gina Gershon), and the two women hatch a scheme to steal $2 million of Mafia money. ''Bound'' was the first film directed by the Wachowskis, and they took inspiration from Billy Wilder to tell a noir story filled with sex and violence. Financed by Dino De Laurentiis, the film was made on a tight budget with the help of frugal crew members including cinematographer Bill Pope. The directors initially struggled to cast the lesbian characters of Violet and Corky before securing Tilly and Gershon. "Bound" is the eleventh episode of the first season of the American science fiction drama television series ''Fringe''. It follows the aftermath of Olivia's (Anna Torv) capture in the previous episode, and subsequent efforts to identify and apprehend her kidnappers. Along with a double agent, Olivia's investigation is hampered by the appearance of Sanford Harris, an old adversary hired to audit Fringe Division. The episode was written by series co-creators J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci, as well as executive producer Jeff Pinkner. Frederick E. O. Toye served as the episode's director, and sought to create a "creepy and weird" atmosphere for Olivia's kidnapping scene to help emphasize her "terrible circumstances." First director Gary Rake believed Olivia's action scenes took her to a "higher level", and Torv herself enjoyed filming them. ''Bound'' is a platform video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and Plastic and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 on August 16, 2016. The game received mostly positive reviews, with critics praising its art style and originality, but the gameplay was criticized as shallow. Gameplay The player controls an unnamed princess and ballet dancer as she makes her way through surreal, dreamlike environments. She must complete platforming challenges and has the ability to repel enemies with her dancing. The game uses an "Edge Guard" to prevent the player from falling off certain platforms. Bound Brook (Raritan River)
Bound Brook is a tributary of the Raritan River in Middlesex County, New Jersey, in the United States. Its name comes from a boundary in an Indian deed. The stream is referred to as Sacunk, a Native American name meaning "slow sluggish stream", on early maps of the area. It rises in Edison (near Interstate 287 and County Route 501) and flows through the Dismal Swamp. It then flows through South Plainfield and the Cedar Brook joins it southwest of Spring Lake. It continues through Piscataway into New Market Pond, through Middlesex where it flows into the Green Brook at the northwest corner of Mountain View Park. It gives its name to the borough of Bound Brook, New Jersey.
