A Black sitcom is a sitcom that principally features Black people in its cast. Prominent Black sitcoms to date typically come from the United States with African American casts, forming a branch of African American comedy. ''The Fosters'' is a British television show, produced by London Weekend Television, which aired on ITV from 9 April 1976 until 9 July 1977. It was created by Jon Watkins and was the first British sitcom to feature an entirely black cast. White Savior
The term white savior is a critical description of a White people, white person who is depicted as liberating, rescuing or uplifting Person of color, non-white people; it is critical in the sense that it describes a pattern in which people of color in economically under-developed nations that are majority Non-White, non-white are denied Agency (sociology), agency and are seen as passive recipients of white benevolence. The role is considered a modern-day version of what is expressed in the poem ''The White Man's Burden'' (1899) by Rudyard Kipling. ''What's Happening!!'' is an American sitcom television series that first aired on ABC from August 5, 1976, premiering as a summer series. It also returned as a weekly series, that later aired for the rest of the three seasons, from November 13, 1976, to April 28, 1979.
