Sarreguemines
Sarreguemines (; German: ''Saargemünd'' ; Lorraine Franconian: ''Saargemìnn'') is a commune in the Moselle department of the Grand Est administrative region in north-eastern France. It is the seat of an arrondissement and a canton. As of 2020, the town's population was 20,555. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Sarregueminois'' and ''Sarregueminoises'' in French. Geography Sarreguemines, whose name is a French spelling of the name in local Lorraine-German dialect ''Saargemin'', meaning "confluence into the Saar", is located at the confluence of the Blies and the Saar, east of Metz, northwest of Strasbourg by rail, and at the junction of the lines to Trier and Sarrebourg. Sarreguemines station has rail connections to Strasbourg, Saarbrücken and Metz. Traditionally Sarreguemines was the head of river navigation on the Saar, its importance being a depot where boats were unloaded. Grosbliederstroff
Grosbliederstroff (; , , in contrast to " Little Blittersdorf") is a commune in the Moselle department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. It borders the German towns of Saarbrücken (180,000 inhabitants) and Kleinblittersdorf. Grosbliederstroff is connected to Kleinblittersdorf by a bridge and from there to Saarbrücken by tramway, and to French highways A320 and A4. Geography Grosbliederstroff is situated on the left bank of the river Saar (''Sarre''), opposite the German village Kleinblittersdorf, and about midway between Saarbrücken and Sarreguemines. Goetzenbruck or Gœtzenbruck (; ; Lorraine Franconian: ''Getzebrikk'') is a commune in the Moselle department of the Grand Est administrative region in north-eastern France. The village belongs to the Pays de Bitche and to the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park. As of the 2013 France census, the village's population is 1,608. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Goetzenbruckois'' and ''Goetzenbruckoises''. The present municipality of Goetzenbruck was originally divided into three municipalities. They underwent several changes before the two remaining municipalities of Goetzenbruck and Sarreinsberg merged in 1947 (the latter had already merged with the third municipality, Althorn, back in 1837).
