Arrondissement Of Nivelles
The Arrondissement of Nivelles (; ) is an arrondissement in Wallonia and Belgium. It is the only arrondissement in the province of Walloon Brabant, and is coterminous with it. Before 1995, it was one of three arrondissements in the Province of Brabant. It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement, both having the same borders as the province. Arrondissements of Belgium (plural in ) are administrative division, subdivisions below the provinces of Belgium. There are administrative, judicial and electoral arrondissements. These may or may not relate to identical geographical areas. Belgium, a federalized state, geographically consists of three regions and communities of Belgium, regions, of which only Flanders and Wallonia are subdivided into five provinces of Belgium, provinces each; Brussels is neither a province nor is it part of one. Ramillies (; ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. On 1 January 2012, Ramillies had a total population of 6,211. The total area is 48.68 km2 which gives a population density of 128 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Autre-Église, Bomal, Geest-Gérompont-Petit-Rosière, Grand-Rosière-Hottomont, Huppaye, Mont-Saint-André, and Ramillies-Offus. The former Roman road from Bavay to Cologne passes through Ramillies. Perwez
Perwez (; ; , ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. Geography and demographics On 1 January 2006 the municipality had 7,487 inhabitants. The total area is 50.81 km2, giving a population density of 147 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Malèves-Sainte-Marie-Wastines, Orbais, Thorembais-les-Béguines, and Thorembais-Saint-Trond. History In Roman times, Perwez was on the Roman road from Bavay to Cologne. This resulted in three tumuli which are no longer visible today. In 1977 a tomb with several Roman artefacts was discovered near the farm of Long Pont. In medieval times, Perwez often suffered from its position near the border between the Duchy of Brabant and the Prince-Bishopric of Liège. Nivelles (; ; ) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. Lasne (; ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium, south east of Brussels. In 2008, Lasne had a population of 14,043. La Hulpe (; , ; ) is a municipality of Wallonia in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant, 20 km south-east of the centre of Brussels, but only about 3 km from the edge of the Brussels-Capital Region. Ittre (; ; , ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. Since the fusion of the Belgian municipalities in 1977, the municipality is composed of three districts: Haut-Ittre, Ittre and Virginal-Samme. Ittre was the geographical center of Belgium until World War I.
