Amilton (footballer, Born 1989)
Amilton Minervino da Silva (born 12 August 1989), known as Amilton, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a winger for TFF First League club Gençlerbirliği. He spent most of his career in Portugal, where he achieved Primeira Liga totals of 75 games and 9 goals for União da Madeira and Aves, also lifting the Taça de Portugal with the latter in 2018. Career Born in Pernambuco, Brazil, Amilton began his career with Sport Club Peladeiros in the Viana do Castelo Football Association's second district league in 2008–09. He then made the short journey over the border to play with CD Ourense B in Spain, then came back to the district's top tier to play for Sport Clube Valenciano. He played two seasons with Varzim S.C. and earned promotion from the third tier at the end of the latter, then signed a three-year deal with newly promoted Primeira Liga club C.F. União in July 2015.
