Aftershow
An aftershow or after-show is a genre of television talk show whose topic is another television program. An aftershow is typically broadcast immediately after a new episode of its corresponding program, to help retain the audience, and to provide additional discussion and content related to the program (such as analysis and behind-the-scenes material). Aftershows may also include guest appearances by a show's staff or cast, and emphasize viewer contributions. A similar, earlier concept in sports broadcasting is the post-game show. The rewatch podcast is a related, less time-sensitive concept, often recorded after the series has ended and entered reruns or video on demand. Format An aftershow's typical format, pioneered by Howard Stern's '' The Wrap-Up Show'' on Sirius Satellite Radio in 2006, is two or more people discussing a just-aired episode. Post-game Show
A post-game, postgame, or post-match show is a TV or radio presentation that occurs immediately after the live broadcast of a major sporting event. Contents may include: * replays of key moments in the game. * interviews with players, coaches and managers. * analysis of the game by sports commentators. * footage of celebrating or demoralized fans. * previews of the next game or series. * championship and/or MVP trophy presentations. Postgame shows are generally shorter and less structured than pre-game shows, especially for national broadcasts. In many cases, especially in prime time matchups, there may be virtually no post-game show at all. This is partially due to the unpredictability of the length of a typical sporting event, which can vary in length by a considerable amount depending on clock stoppages and overtime. The After Show
The After Show is the title of several aftershows aired by MTV's Canadian channel, originally connected to reality series by MTV such as '' Laguna Beach'' and '' The Hills''. Because the Canadian channel now known as MTV was originally approved as a talk channel, it is required to emphasize interactive talk programming. Companion talk shows are not required for all MTV reality shows, but in the case of "reality dramas" like ''The Hills'', the ''After Shows'' help to contextualize the series in order to fit the channel's mandate. Fox Reality Channel was an American pay television channel. It was launched on May 24, 2005, and was owned by the Fox Entertainment Group. MTV Canada
MTV was a Canadian English-language discretionary specialty channel formerly owned by Bell Media subsidiary of BCE Inc. with the name and branding used under a licensing agreement with Paramount Global. Originally devoted to talk, lifestyle, documentary and scripted programming, the channel drifted towards programming sourced from its U.S. counterpart aimed at men ages 12-87 before the channel would wind down in 2024. The Last Leg
''The Last Leg'' (known during its first series as ''The Last Leg with Adam Hills'' and in Australia as ''Adam Hills: The Last Leg'') is a British late-night television humorous talk/sketch show that originally ran alongside the 2012 Summer Paralympics every night following the main coverage on Channel 4. Anchored by Australian comedian Adam Hills and co-hosted by Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker, it gives a review of the week's events. Featuring a mix of comedy, guests and Paralympics highlights, the show received strong reviews and regularly pulled in more than a million viewers each night of the Paralympic Games.
