''The Myth'' ( zh, s=神话, t=神話, first=t, labels=no) is a 2005 martial arts fantasy film directed by Stanley Tong, who also wrote the film alongside Li Haishu and Wang Hui-ling, and produced by Jackie Chan. A Hong Kong-Chinese co-production, the film stars Chan with a supporting cast of Tony Leung Ka-fai, Kim Hee-sun, and Mallika Sherawat. ''The Myth'' is followed by two sequels, '' Kung Fu Yoga'' (2017) and '' A Legend'' (2024). Plot During the Qin dynasty, the general Meng Yi is tasked with escorting the Korean princess Ok-Soo back to China to be the Qin emperor's concubine. Along the way, Meng Yi is injured while protecting Ok-Soo and they develop romantic feelings for each other but ultimately stay true to their respective duties. ''The Myth'' is a 2010 Chinese television series based on the 2005 Hong Kong film of the same title. Jackie Chan, who starred in the original film, was credited as the producer for the series, while Stanley Tong, who directed the film, was the creative director for the series. The series was first aired on CCTV-8 in China in January 2010. Plot By coincidence, Yi Xiaochuan finds a tiger pendant which sears a mark onto his chest when he wears it on his neck. Meanwhile, his brother, Yi Dachuan, discovers a 2,000-year-old treasure box at an excavation site. Xiaochuan unlocks the box with his pendant and opens a time portal by accident. Unknown to everyone else, he is transported back in time to the Qin dynasty together with Gao Yao, his girlfriend's brother. Sergio Oliva (; July 4, 1941 – November 12, 2012), often known by his epithet 'The Myth' for his physique and performance, was a Cuban American bodybuilder and three-time Mr. Olympia winner. Early life Sergio Oliva was born on July 4, 1941, in Guantanamo, Cuba, during the presidency of Fulgencio Batista. As a teenager, Sergio was able to perform clean & jerks above 400 pounds. He was selected to represent Cuba at the 1962 Central America and Caribbean Games. While representing Cuba in Jamaica, he successfully claimed political asylum in the United States. Soon after, 65 other Cuban nationals, which included Castro's entire weightlifting team and their security guards, followed Oliva by seeking asylum in the US. In the United States Oliva lived in Miami, Florida, where he worked as a TV repairman. Career Oliva won the Mr. Olympia title three years from 1967 to 1969 in a row. The Myth is a Maltese rock band formed in 1990, known for blending melodious rock with acoustic and folk influences. Adoor Gopalakrishnan
Adoor Gopalakrishnan (born 3 July 1941) is an Indian film director, script writer, and producer and is regarded as one of the most notable and renowned filmmakers in India. With the release of his first feature film '' Swayamvaram'' (1972), Gopalakrishnan pioneered the new wave in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. In a career spanning over five decades, Gopalakrishnan has made only 12 feature films to date. His films are made in the Malayalam language and often depict the society and culture of his native state Kerala. Nearly all of his films premiered at Venice, Cannes and Toronto International Film Festival. Along with Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen, Gopalakrishnan is one of the most recognized Indian film directors in world cinema.
