The governor of Goa is a nominal head and representative of the president of India in the state of Goa. The governor is appointed by the president for a term of five years. P. S. Emblem Of Goa
The Emblem of Goa is the official emblem of the Government of Goa, a state of India. Design The emblem depicts a "Vriksha Deep", a type of diya lamp, at its centre. The lamp represents enlightenment through knowledge and is surrounded by a stylised design of coconut leaves which represent the bountiful and beautiful aspects of Goa. A Sanskrit motto appears above the lamp and can be translated as ''"may everyone see goodness, may none suffer any pain"'' (Devnagari: सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु मा कश्चिद् दुःखमाप्नुयात्; ''Sarve bhadrāṇi paśyantu mā kaścid duḥkhamāpnuyāt''). Bhagat Singh Koshyari (born 17 June 1942) is an Indian politician serving as the 22nd and current Governor of Maharashtra from 5 September 2019. An RSS veteran, Koshyari served as National Vice-President of BJP and party's 1st State president for Uttarakhand. He also served as 2nd Chief Minister of Uttarakhand (formerly Uttaranchal) from 2001 to 2002 and thereafter, was the leader of the opposition in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly from 2002 to 2003. Satyapal Malik
Satya Pal Malik (born 24 July 1946) is an Indian politician. Malik was the Governor of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, from August 2018 to October 2019, and it was during his tenure that the constitutional decision to abrogate Article 370, which gave special status to J&K, was taken on 5 August 2019. Later he was moved to Goa as its 18th governor, and after that he served as the 21st Governor of Meghalaya until October 2022. Mridula Sinha
Mridula Sinha (27 November 1942 – 18 November 2020) was an Indian writer and politician who served as Governor of Goa from August 2014 to October 2019. She was the first woman Governor of Goa. Mridula Sinha was also a former president of BJP Mahila Morcha. She was awarded India's fourth highest civilian award the Padma Shri posthumously in 2021. Om Prakash Kohli (born 9 August 1935) is an Indian politician and the former Governor of Gujarat from 2014 to 2019. Margaret Nazareth Alva ( born 14 April 1942) is an Indian politician. Alva served as the 17th Governor of Goa, 23rd Governor of Gujarat, 20th Governor of Rajasthan and 4th Governor of Uttarakhand the until the end of her tenure in August 2014. She has formerly served as the Cabinet Minister. She took over in Rajasthan from the Punjab governor, Shivraj Patil, who had been holding an additional charge of that state. Bharat Vir Wanchoo (born 15 October 1951) is an Indian political figure who was the Governor of Goa from May 2012 to July 2014. Previously, he was Director of the Special Protection Group until 2011. Kateekal Sankaranarayanan (15 October 1932 – 24 April 2022) was the governor of the Indian state of Maharashtra. He had also served as the Governor of Nagaland and Jharkhand. Kidar Nath Sahani (24 October 1926 – 3 October 2012) was a governor of the Indian states of Sikkim (2001–02) and Goa (2002–04). He was a pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and a leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and Bharatiya Janata Party. He lived in Delhi, though he was born in Rawalpindi, British India, having migrated here following the Partition. Mohammed Fazal (2 July 1922 – 4 September 2014) was an Indian politician who was the Governor of Maharashtra from 10 October 2002 to 5 December 2004. Born in a well-known ''zamindari'' (landlord) family, he studied at the Allahabad University and later at the London School of Economics at the University of London.
