Lachlan David Morton (born 2 January 1992) is an Australian professional gravel and road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born and raised in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia, Morton spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons in the squad's development stable, . Following a successful 2016 season including stage and overall wins at the Tour of the Gila and the Tour of Utah, in September 2016 confirmed that Morton would join them for 2017, reuniting him with former Garmin teammate Ben King. He was named in the startlist for the 2017 Vuelta a España. In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Giro d'Italia. The Leadville Trail 100 MTB is the second oldest of the well-known marathon mountain bike races held in the United States, the oldest being the Wilderness 101 Mountain Bicycle Race, Wilderness 101 in central Pennsylvania. The Leadville Trail 100 MTB was first run in 1994 and has become one of the best marketed, attended and known marathon events in mountain bike racing. Entry to the event is controlled and restricted. Some entries are awarded by a random lottery, while other entries are awarded by finishing well in a series of qualifying events. Unbound Gravel
Unbound Gravel, formerly known as the Dirty Kanza, is an event comprising gravel racing covering various distances held annually during the late spring on rural roads in the Flint Hills region of the Great Plains around Emporia, Kansas, United States. The race's organizers refer to the race as the "World's Premiere Gravel Grinder", and ranked as one of the top gravel bike races. In 2024, there were approximately 5,000 registered riders across all races. Course Starting and ending in Emporia, the routes runs along rural roads in the Flint Hills of east-central Kansas. The course route varies each year, and can change directions from year to year (north or south route) from Emporia. Cameron Wurf (born 3 August 1983) is an Australian professional triathlete and road cyclist, who last rode for UCI WorldTeam . He was a national champion and Australian representative rower – a 2004 Olympian who won a World Rowing U23 Championships title in 2003. Ultra-distance cycling is the riding of any Cycle sport, bike race or route longer than a century ride, which is . However, such events are relatively common, so using a longer distance to define the category may be more useful, such as any race or ride that is longer than , or even a double century, . The definition of ultra-distance cycling is far more vague and controversial than in Ultramarathon, ultra running (any race longer than a marathon) or in ultra-triathlon (any race longer than an Ironman Triathlon). Bike events that cover these distances but which are split into Race stage, stages do not fit most definitions of ultra-distance races – the clock needs to run continuously from start to finish. The 2020 Giro d'Italia was a road cycling stage race that took place between 3 and 25 October, after initially being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was originally to have taken place from 9 to 31 May 2020, as the 103rd edition of the Giro d'Italia, a three-week Grand Tour. The start of the 2020 Giro (known as the ''Grande Partenza'') had been planned to take place in Budapest, Hungary, which would have been the 14th time the Giro has started outside Italy, and the first time a Grand Tour has visited Hungary.
