Ketnet
Ketnet is a Flemish public children's television channel in Belgium owned and operated by the VRT, Flemish public broadcaster. It broadcasts a mix of locally produced and imported productions on the VRT 3 channel from 6 am until 8 pm. History On 1 December 1997, BRTN 2 was replaced by Canvas and Ketnet. From the start of the channel, the program offering from Flemish soil has been diversified. The best-known and/or longest-running titles are ''Amika'', '' Dag Sinterklaas'', '' De Boomhut'', ''Karrewiet'', ''Kulderzipken'', ''Mega Mindy'', '' Samson en Gert'', ''Spring'', and ''W817''. In addition, various foreign series are also purchased. Ketnet started as a channel for 4 to 15-year-olds. Kulderzipken is a Flemish television series that premiered in 1995. Two seasons of ten episodes each have been made since then. The final episode aired in 1996. Concept Once upon a time there was, in country far, far, far away, a king called Jozef (Jan Decleir), and his wife, queen Angina ( Karine Tanghe). King Jozef thought the time was right for his daughter, princess Prieeltje ( Ianka Fleerackers), to get married and king Jozef set up a special contest. The first young man to pull the three golden hairs out of Mother Devil's head got the chance to marry the princess. The contest was won by Kulderzipken ( Michael Pas), a simple country lad. Both Prieeltje and her mother are very happy with the outcome, but King Jozef does not want a country lad as his son-in-law, and tries to chase Kulderzipken from his castle. ''The Busy World of Richard Scarry'' is an animated children's television series, produced by CINAR Animation and France Animation in association with Paramount Television, that aired from 1994 to 1996, first on Showtime, later on Nickelodeon, and ran for 65 episodes. The television series was based on the books drawn and written by Richard Scarry. Overview The series takes place in the fictional city of Busytown and mainly stars Huckle Cat, Lowly Worm and many of the other residents of Busytown.
