The classification system of human settlement, inhabited localities in Russia and some other post-Soviet Union, Soviet states has certain peculiarities compared with those in other countries. Vologda Oblast
Vologda Oblast ( rus, Вологодская область, p=vəlɐˈɡotskəjə ˈobləsʲtʲ, r=Vologodskaya oblast, ) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its administrative center is Vologda.
